Markakis went 1-for-5 with a solo homer and two runs Friday at the White Sox.
EDGE Analysis
Markakis launched his fifth homer of the year off Chris Sale to tie the game at four in the fourth inning of a winning effort. He now has three homers in his last two games to raise his slugging percentage to .369 on the season.

Markakis went 2-for-5 with a pair of homers and three RBI Thursday at the Cubs.
EDGE Analysis
Markakis' third homer of the year gave the Braves a 2-0 lead in the first inning, and his second blast of the night tied the game at three in the ninth inning to send the contest to extra innings. He's now hit safely in eight of his last nine games, and he's slashing .257/.334/.362 on the season.

Markakis went 2-for-5 with his second home run of the season and two RBI in Sunday's win over the Mets.
EDGE Analysis
His first homer came almost exactly a month ago, so expect Markakis to hit his next one just after the All-Star break. Hitting cleanup behind the red-hot Freddie Freeman has its advantages, as despite his general lack of pop Markakis now has five RBI in his last four games.

Markakis is out of the lineup Thursday against the Giants.
EDGE Analysis
Markakis has had just one day off over the last two weeks, so it makes sense to rest his left-handed bat Thursday against tough southpaw Madison Bumgarner. In his stead, manager Brian Snitker will start an outfield composed of Mallex Smith (left), Ender Inciarte (center) and Jeff Francoeur (right).

Markakis went 2-for-4 with two RBI in Friday's 4-2 victory over the Marlins.
EDGE Analysis
The veteran outfielder was the hero on the night, as his eighth-inning RBI single plated Gordon Beckham and Freddie Freeman. Markakis' multi-hit effort broke a five-game hitless streak, a dubious feat in what has been a forgettable month. The .302 average that the 32-year-old finished April with is now a distant memory, as he's slashsed just .159/.283/.207 in 82 May at-bats. Markakis' season average is down to .238, and without any long-ball contributions to speak of, he's not bringing a great deal to the table fantasy-wise at this point.

Markakis is out of the starting lineup for Thursday's series finale against the Brewers, Kevin McAlpin of the Braves Radio Network reports.
EDGE Analysis
Markakis will get his first day off since May 4 following Wednesday's 13-inning marathon. Although he'll likely re-enter the lineup for Friday's matchup with the Marlins, Jeff Francoeur will take over in right field to replace him Thursday.

Markakis was 1-for-4 with a two-run home run as the Braves dropped Philadelphia on Friday night.
EDGE Analysis
Certainly not your prototypical clean-up hitter, Markakis hit out of the four-hole in this one and smacked his first home run of the season in the Braves' win. Markakis has been mired in a horrendous slump during the month of May, so perhaps the new spot in the batting order will break him out of the malaise. If he maintains that spot, it should significantly boost his opportunity to contribute counting stats, albeit the Braves' lackluster offense will still limit his chances.

Markakis is hitting .174 with no extra-base hits, two RBI and four runs in 46 at-bats this month.
EDGE Analysis
The Braves outfielder is in a bad slump. Since going 3-for-5 on May 8, he is 2-for-23 (.087) with one RBI, one run and seven strikeouts over the last six games. His last extra-base hit came on April 28.

Markakis went 3-for-5 with a walk and a run scored in Sunday's 11-inning loss to the Diamondbacks.
EDGE Analysis
Braves manager Fredi Gonzalez is keeping Markakis in the leadoff spot for now, despite the return of Ender Inciarte from the DL. That's likely bad news for both players' fantasy value, as Markakis will have fewer RBI opportunities and Inciarte fewer opportunities to steal bases, but it's hard to argue against keeping Markakis' .395 OBP at the top of the order for the offensively-starved team.

Markakis (personal) went 2-for-4 with a run scored in Friday's 7-2 loss to the Diamondbacks.
EDGE Analysis
The veteran outfielder was back in the lineup and leading off after missing Wednesday's matchup against the Mets, and was able to reach base safely for the seventh straight game. While Markakis' .290/.395/.400 line in 2016 is certainly solid, his mysterious power drought has now extended into a second season. After nine straight double-digit homer campaigns to start his career, the 32-year-old has just four homers over his last 712 at-bats, including none this season.
