Markakis went 3-for-5 with an RBI in Tuesday's win over the Blue Jays.
EDGE Analysis
The 33-year-old right fielder has enjoyed a strong start to the season, posting a .319/.399/.413 slash line through 36 games, but there are strong warning signs that he won't be able to keep up this pace. Markakis' .417 BABIP is almost 100 points above his career average, while his 75 percent contact rate and 21.5 percent strikeout rate are both career worsts. Given his lack of power or speed, if his batting average dries up there isn't much left to recommend him from a fantasy perspective.

Markakis went 1-for-3 with an RBI during Sunday's loss to Miami.
EDGE Analysis
The veteran is providing modest offensive results with 15 RBI and 19 runs alongside a rock-solid .302 batting average and .385 on-base percentage. Markakis isn't going to help in the home runs or stolen bases columns, but there are plenty of deep settings where his numbers and everyday role provide a reliable fantasy floor.

Markakis went 3-for-4 with a home run in Saturday's 3-1 win over Miami.
EDGE Analysis
For the second consecutive night, the veteran outfielder put forth a multi-hit effort, raising his batting average to .302 on the year. Markakis has played in all 33 of the Braves' games this season while putting forth numbers comparable to recent campaigns. At 33 years old, Markakis continues to be a solid source of fantasy production. Unfortunately, his numbers are held back a bit by the lineup around him.

Markakis went 3-for-5 with a double and two runs scored in Saturday's rout of the Brewers.
EDGE Analysis
While the veteran left fielder has only one homer on the season, he's otherwise put together a strong April, slashing .310/.385/.440 with 10 RBI and 14 runs scored in 22 games. As long as he remains in the heart of a rapidly improving Braves offense, Markakis should be able to continue supplying plenty of counting stats.

Markakis went 1-for-2 with two walks, an RBI and two runs during Thursday's win over New York.
EDGE Analysis
Currently sporting a respectable .297/.384/.419 slash line with 12 runs, six extra-base hits and 10 RBI, Markakis is off to a serviceable start to 2017. The veteran lacks power upside, but he has the ability to post a solid batting average and on-base percentage while also moving the needle in the runs and RBI columns. He also carries a little extra value in points formats because he hits a lot of doubles.

Markakis went 3-for-4 with an RBI and two runs against the Mets on Wednesday.
EDGE Analysis
Although he's hit pretty steadily to open the season, this was Markakis' first three-hit game thus far. He appears poised to offer his typical complement of fantasy stats -- which is to say solid OBP and middling numbers on all other fronts -- thus rendering Markakis useful mostly in deep formats at this point.

Markakis went 1-for-4 with an RBI double and a run scored to extend his hitting streak to 10 games in Sunday's 9-2 rout of the Padres.
EDGE Analysis
Markakis has collected a hit in 10 of his 11 games to start the year, hitting .293 with one home run and seven RBI. The 33-year-old left-handed hitter contributes modestly across all categories except steals, but he isn't much of a power guy, as he hasn't reached the 20-homer mark since 2008 with the Orioles. Markakis' best quality is his ability to make consistent contact and hit for a respectable average.

Markakis went 1-for-4 with a solo home run in Tuesday's loss to the Marlins.
EDGE Analysis
The homer was only his first of the season, but Markakis has been one of the few consistent offensive threats in the Braves lineup to begin the season, slashing .296/.406/.556 through seven games.

Markakis went 2-for-3 with two doubles, a run scored and an RBI in Friday's loss to the Pirates.
EDGE Analysis
He's gone just 4-for-16 to begin the season, but three of his hits have gone for extra bases. Markakis has also struck out eight times in 16 at-bats, however, an alarming sign for a 33-year-old who saw his K-rate rise above 14 percent last year for the first time since 2008. He should start making more contact soon enough, but if his bat is beginning to slow Markakis' fantasy value could fall off a cliff very quickly.

Markakis went 2-for-3 with a double and two RBI in Wednesday's Grapefruit League game against the Phillies.
EDGE Analysis
While the Braves are rebuilding, Markakis is part of a strong veteran core that will help mentor the team's younger players while still holding their own in the field. The 33-year-old re-discovered his power stroke in 2016, popping more than 50 extra-base hits for the first time since 2010 while posting his highest RBI total since 2009, and he should again hit in the heart of Atlanta's order this season.
