Mikolas (4-3) allowed two runs on three hits with seven strikeouts and one walk across seven innings while taking a loss against the Pirates on Saturday.
EDGE Analysis
The 30-year-old continued his hot streak Saturday, but the Cardinals failed to support him with enough runs. While he fell to 4-3 this season, owners have to love the 1.35 ERA he's submitted in his last three starts. Over the entire season, Mikolas owns a 3.83 ERA, 1.06 WHIP and 35 strikeouts in 54 innings. His next scheduled start is at the Rangers on Friday.

Mikolas (4-2) tossed seven scoreless innings Monday, allowing three hits and striking out five batters while earning the win over Philadelphia.
EDGE Analysis
All three hits off Mikolas were singles and no Phillie ever reached scoring position while he was on the mound. He also wiped out two of those singles by forcing double plays. It was his first scoreless performance of 2019 as well as his first start of the year without issuing a walk. He'll carry a 4.02 ERA into Saturday's home contest against Pittsburgh.

Mikolas (3-2) allowed seven hits and one walk while striking out four across six innings to earn the win Wednesday against the Nationals.
EDGE Analysis
Mikolas allowed eight baserunners but only one extra-base hit while recording one of his most effective starts this season. Though he hasn't been able to replicate last season's success, he has mostly avoided disastrous outings by going at least five innings in all seven of his starts and allowing no more than four earned runs since his Opening Day effort. He'll look to build on this result in his next start, likely to come Monday against Philadelphia.

Mikolas (2-2) took the loss in Friday's 12-1 drubbing at the hands of the Reds, giving up four runs on six hits -- including three home runs -- and a walk over five innings while striking out four.
EDGE Analysis
The 30-year-old has been consistent so far this season, giving the Cards at least five innings in all six of his starts, but he's been hit hard -- after serving up 16 homers in 200.2 frames last year, Mikolas has already been tagged for eight dingers in only 34 innings in 2019, leading to a 5.29 ERA. He'll try to find a way to keep the ball in the yard in his next outing Wednesday, on the road against the Nats.

Mikolas (2-1) earned the win against the Mets on Saturday by giving up two runs on four hits over eight innings. He struck out four and walked two.
EDGE Analysis
Mikolas kept the Mets off the scoreboard until the seventh inning, when an infield single, triple and a groundout resulted in a pair of runs. The 30-year-old allowed at least three runs in each of his first four starts and exceeded five innings only once, so Saturday's performance is a big step towards regaining his 2018 form. Mikolas has a 6.00 ERA, 1.38 WHIP and 11:5 K:BB across 21 innings and lines up to face the Reds next Friday.

Mikolas allowed four runs (three earned) on seven hits and a walk in five innings during Sunday's win over Cincinnati. He struck out three and took the no-decision.
EDGE Analysis
After a storybook 2018 campaign, Mikolas has struggled out of the gate this season. He cruised through four scoreless innings before allowing four runs in the fifth inning, including a three-run shot from Jesse Winker. Mikolas now carries an unsightly 6.00 ERA and 11:5 K:BB in 21 innings. He'll next face the Mets on Saturday.

Mikolas (1-1) got the win against the Dodgers on Monday, giving up three earned runs on five hits over six innings, striking out three and walking one as the Cardinals won 4-3.
EDGE Analysis
Mikolas gave up two runs in the first inning, but he settled down after that and ended up posting a quality start on his way to his first victory of the season. The right-hander's numbers through three starts still look lackluster thanks to a rough first outing of the season that saw him get shelled for five earned in five innings against the Brewers, as he's now sporting a 6.19 ERA and a 1.31 WHIP to go along with an 8:4 K:BB through 16 innings. He'll look to build on this solid showing in his next start, which is scheduled for Sunday against the Reds in Monterrey, Mexico.

Mikolas will start the Sunday installment of the two-game set the Cardinals will play against the Reds in Monterrey, Mexico next weekend, Jenifer Langosch of MLB.com reports.
EDGE Analysis
Mikolas will first take the hill Monday versus the Dodgers at Busch Stadium. The veteran right-hander has endured a rocky start to the new season, allowing eight earned runs on 12 hits and three walks across 10 innings over two starts.

Mikolas allowed three runs on seven hits while walking two and striking out two in a no decision against the Pirates on Wednesday.
EDGE Analysis
The Cardinals bailed out their starting pitcher for the second straight game, erasing a lead in the eighth inning and then winning in extras. Mikolas minimized the damage in his second start of the year, but he's allowed 12 hits and three walks through 10 innings overall. He remains at 0-1 with a 7.20 ERA, 1.50 WHIP and five strikeouts through two outings this season. It's early, but this isn't the start owners envisioned for Mikolas, who made his first All-Star game last year.

Mikolas (0-1) took the loss and allowed five runs on five hits and a walk while striking out three over five innings Thursday against Milwaukee.
EDGE Analysis
Mikolas made it through the first inning unscathed but allowed a solo homer in the second followed by a three-run blast in the third and another solo shot in the fifth. Although a loss certainly isn't what he envisioned on Opening Day, he'll toe the rubber in search of a better result Wednesday against Pittsburgh.
