Mikolas (7-10) earned the win Tuesday against the Athletics, allowing one run on five hits and one walk with no strikeouts in six innings.
EDGE Analysis
Despite the season-low zero strikeouts, it was still one of Mikolas' finer performances of the year. It was only his eighth quality start in 2025, and it also was just the ninth time that he surrendered one run or zero this season. Mikolas will be trying to build on Tuesday's performance when he takes a 4.89 ERA, 1.33 WHIP and 86:33 K:BB over 136.1 innings into his next outing, which is slated for next week against the Mariners at pitcher-friendly T-Mobile Park.

Mikolas didn't factor into the decision Thursday against the Pirates, allowing one run on four hits and one walk in five innings. He struck out five.
EDGE Analysis
Thursday marked Mikolas' first start of one or zero earned runs allowed since July 25 against the Padres, and the five strikeouts were his most since July 30 versus the Marlins. It was an especially encouraging rebound performance as well, considering the veteran right-hander matched a season low with 2.2 innings his last time out in Tampa Bay. Mikolas likely benefited from a favorable spot at home Thursday against the last-place Pirates, but he could have a tougher time next week against an Athletics team with a .796 OPS since the beginning of August. For the year, he has a 5.04 ERA, 1.35 WHIP and 86:32 K:BB through 130.1 frames.

Mikolas (6-10) took the loss Friday against the Rays, allowing five runs (four earned) on 10 hits and one walk in 2.2 innings. He struck out one.
EDGE Analysis
Mikolas matched his shortest outing of the season, and it was the third time this year that he yielded double-digit hits. Additionally, it was the seventh instance of 2025 that the veteran right-hander punched out a lone batter. While Mikolas does have a lackluster 5.17 ERA, 1.36 WHIP and 81:31 K:BB across 125.1 innings, he should at least carry a bit of streaming appeal in deeper formats next week in a favorable home matchup versus the last-place Pirates.

Mikolas did not factor into the decision Sunday against the Yankees, allowing three runs on four hits and five walks across five innings. He struck out one.
EDGE Analysis
While Mikolas issued a season-high five walks Sunday, the right-hander managed to keep the Yankees off the board until the fourth inning, where they'd score three runs on their only four hits against the right-hander. It's been an up-and-down year overall for the 36-year-old Mikolas -- his ERA now sits at 4.99 with a 1.30 WHIP and 80:30 K:BB across 24 starts (122.2 innings). He's currently in line to face the Rays on the road in his next outing.

Mikolas didn't factor into the decision Monday against the Rockies, allowing two runs on four hits and one walk in 6.2 innings. He struck out three.
EDGE Analysis
Mikolas brought a no-hit bid into the sixth inning, but it was broken up by a Tyler Freeman single during the sixth frame. The quality start was the veteran right-hander's sixth of the season, though he's exceeded five strikeouts just four times through 23 outings on the year. Mikolas has a lackluster 4.97 ERA, 1.28 WHIP and 79:25 K:BB over 117.2 frames, so he doesn't shape up as an appealing streamer this weekend at home versus a dangerous Yankees lineup.

Mikolas (6-9) allowed five runs on seven hits and a walk while striking out one over three innings to take the loss Tuesday versus the Dodgers.
EDGE Analysis
After allowing nine homers over five starts in July, a date with the power-hitting Dodgers was not what the doctor ordered for Mikolas. He gave up three more long balls Tuesday, though two of them were solo shots, but the right-hander was still done after 67 pitches (44 strikes). Mikolas is now at a 5.11 ERA, 1.32 WHIP and 76:23 K:BB through 111 innings across 22 starts. He's already given up 21 homers this year, six shy of matching his career high from 2019. His next start is projected to be at home versus the Rockies.

Mikolas (6-8) took the loss against Miami on Wednesday, allowing two runs on five hits with no walks and five strikeouts over six innings.
EDGE Analysis
Mikolas was tagged for a two-run homer by Jesus Sanchez in the third inning, but those were the only runs he surrendered. That was enough to send him to his eighth loss, however, as the Cardinals offense couldn't provide any run support. Mikolas did manage to notch his first quality start over his past seven appearances and has yielded just two runs over his past two starts. He's lined up for a tough road matchup against the Dodgers in his next outing.

Mikolas (6-7) earned the win Friday against the Padres, allowing seven hits and striking out one across five scoreless innings.
EDGE Analysis
Following a rough outing in Arizona, Mikolas bounced back effectively Friday, shutting out the Padres over five frames despite consistently dealing with runners on base. It marked the second time in his last three starts that the right-hander has delivered a scoreless effort. With the performance, Mikolas lowered his season ERA below 5.00, which now sits at 4.94 alongside a 1.30 WHIP and 70:23 K:BB over 102 innings. The veteran hurler is scheduled to take the mound again next week against the Marlins.

Mikolas (5-7) suffered the loss Sunday at Arizona, allowing five runs on four hits and two walks over four innings with three strikeouts.
EDGE Analysis
The veteran right-hander was the victim of two Eugenio Suarez homers, a three-run blast in the first and a solo shot in the third, as he conceded five or more runs for the third time in his last four outings. Mikolas has been in a tailspin over his last nine starts, going 1-5 with a 7.09 ERA, 1.45 WHIP and 38:7 K:BB across 45.2 frames while yielding 14 long balls. Through 97 total innings, he's pitched to a 5.20 ERA, 1.30 WHIP and 69:23 K:BB, making him unviable in virtually all fantasy leagues. He's currently slated to draw his next start against the Padres at home next weekend.

Mikolas (5-6) picked up the win Thursday against Washington, allowing two hits and one walk with six strikeouts over 5.2 scoreless innings
EDGE Analysis
Mikolas got back on track after a pair of awful starts, during which he combined to give up 14 runs and eight homers across 10 innings. Thursday's victory was his first in eight outings and snapped a streak of six consecutive appearances allowing a homer. It's a step in the right direction for the 36-year-old as he looks to find his early-season form. Mikolas posted a 3.51 ERA across 51.1 innings during his first 10 starts. His ERA has increased to 4.94 since then.
