Mikolas and the Cardinals won't play Monday against the Mets after the game was postponed due to inclement weather, Jeff Jones of the Belleville News-Democrat reports.
EDGE Analysis
Mikolas was slated to serve as the starting pitcher during Monday's series opener, but he'll have to wait at least one more day to take the mound. The Cardinals haven't yet announced their updated pitching plans, but it wouldn't be surprising to see Mikolas take the mound in one of the two games during Tuesday's doubleheader.

Mikolas (3-1) earned the win over Baltimore on Wednesday, allowing one run on four hits and one walk while striking out three over seven innings.
EDGE Analysis
St. Louis built a seven-run lead by the end of the fourth inning, allowing Mikolas to go get into cruise control and pitch with little stress. The right-hander completed seven innings for the third time in his past four starts and yielded only one run for his second straight outing. Mikolas hasn't given up more than two earned runs in any of his seven appearances this season, leading to a sparkling 1.49 ERA through 42.1 frames. He'll look to keep rolling in his next start, which is expected to come on the road against the Mets early next week.

Mikolas (2-1) allowed one run on seven hits and three walks over 5.2 innings against San Francisco on Thursday to earn the win. He struck out three.
EDGE Analysis
The right-hander allowed plenty of traffic on the basepaths, but only one of the hits against him went for extra bases, and he got help from his bullpen to escape a bases-loaded jam in the sixth inning and remain in line for the win. Mikolas mostly pitched to contact -- he registered only five swinging strikes and three punchouts -- but was able to extend his streak of starts with two or fewer runs allowed to six games to begin the season. He has posted a 1.53 ERA and 0.99 WHIP across 35.1 innings thus far, and he'll look to keep rolling in his next projected start, which lines up to come against Baltimore at home next week.

Mikolas (1-1) took the loss Saturday against the Diamondbacks, allowing two runs on four hits in 7.1 innings of work, striking out seven while walking none.
EDGE Analysis
In a matchup between two veteran righties who jump-started their career with moves overseas, Mikolas and Merrill Kelly pitched to a scoreless tie through seven innings. While that was the end of Kelly's day, Mikolas remained in the game for the eighth inning and probably shouldn't have, as he gave up solo shots to Ketel Marte and Nick Ahmed. Despite the poor finish, it was on the whole another strong outing for Mikolas, who owns a 1.52 ERA and 0.84 WHIP through five starts. He'll face the Giants in San Francisco next Thursday.

Mikolas didn't factor into the decision in Monday's 5-2 loss to the Mets, giving up four hits and a walk over seven scoreless innings. He struck out five.
EDGE Analysis
The right-hander baffled New York hitters and generated plenty of weak contact, tossing 63 of 95 pitches for strikes before hitting the showers in line for his second win of the season. Unfortunately, Giovanny Gallegos blew his first save of the season in the ninth. Mikolas appears to have re-discovered his 2018 form, posting a 1.21 ERA, 0.94 WHIP and 18:4 K:BB through 22.1 innings, and the key to his success so far has been the fact that he has yet to serve up a homer after giving up 33 of them (1.30 HR/9) over his last two seasons.

Mikolas didn't factor into the decision in Wednesday's 2-0 win over the Marlins, scattering four hits over five-plus scoreless innings. He struck out five without walking a batter.
EDGE Analysis
He also hit a batter. The right-hander traded goose eggs with Sandy Alcantara for five frames, but after allowing a single to Garrett Cooper to lead off the sixth, Mikolas got the hook. He tossed 59 of 86 pitches for strikes and generated eight groundball outs without allowing a flyball out. Mikolas has looked very good to begin the season, posting a 1.76 ERA, 1.04 WHIP and 13:3 K:BB through 15.1 innings over three starts.

Mikolas (1-0) earned the win, allowing one run on three hits and a walk in 6.2 innings while striking out seven in a 10-1 win Friday in Milwaukee.
EDGE Analysis
Mikolas allowed just one hit in his first six innings before getting into a little bit of trouble in the seventh. Coming off a rocky first start of 2022, the righty dominated the Brewers' lineup, retiring the side in order in four innings. The 33-year-old is now 6-2 in his career against Milwaukee with just five walks in 57 innings. His next start is scheduled for Thursday in Miami.

Mikolas gave up two runs on six hits and two walks while striking out one in 3.2 innings in a 6-2 win Saturday against Pittsburgh.
EDGE Analysis
Mikolas needed 41 pitches to get through the first inning and pitched around trouble all game. He was removed with the Cardinals leading 4-2 in the fourth rather than facing Bryan Reynolds for the third time. After only pitching in nine contests in the last two seasons because of forearm injuries, the 33-year-old pitched effectively in the spring and reportedly has a clean bill of health. The former All-Star looks to regain his 2018 form if he remains healthy this season. His next start will likely be at the end of next week in Milwaukee.

Mikolas was hitting 94 mph regularly in his initial spring training outing and is feeling good after suffering multiple injuries the last two years, Rick Hummel of The St. Louis Post-Dispatch reports.
EDGE Analysis
The Cardinals needed some good pitching news given the setbacks for Jack Flaherty (shoulder) and Alex Reyes (shoulder) this spring. Mikolas was in great spirits following the outing. "My tagline right now is it feels good to feel good," he said. "It's a weight off your shoulders physically and mentally to not be warming up and thinking, 'How is it going to feel today?'''

Mikolas (2-3) allowed three runs on seven hits and one walk with seven strikeouts through 5.2 innings, taking the loss in Wednesday's 4-0 defeat to the Brewers.
EDGE Analysis
Well, all good things must come to an end. One night after clinching a playoff berth with a franchise-record 17th consecutive win, the Cardinals suffered their first loss since Sept. 10. Mikolas was beyond solid for the majority of the night, allowing a run in the first before holding the Brewers scoreless through his next five innings pitched. But, with two outs in the sixth, Daniel Vogelbach took the right-hander yard for a two-run shot. After Lorenzo Cain followed that up with a base hit, manager Mike Shildt made a call to the bullpen. Even though it will be Mikolas' name affixed with an "L" in the box score of the game that ended the Redbirds' historic streak, he recorded season highs in strikeouts (seven) and pitches thrown (96). As the Cardinals look to make a run into October, look for Mikolas to pick up some work. He is the proud owner of a 1.50 ERA over 12 postseason innings.
