Mikolas was hitting 94 mph regularly in his initial spring training outing and is feeling good after suffering multiple injuries the last two years, Rick Hummel of The St. Louis Post-Dispatch reports.
EDGE Analysis
The Cardinals needed some good pitching news given the setbacks for Jack Flaherty (shoulder) and Alex Reyes (shoulder) this spring. Mikolas was in great spirits following the outing. "My tagline right now is it feels good to feel good," he said. "It's a weight off your shoulders physically and mentally to not be warming up and thinking, 'How is it going to feel today?'''

Mikolas (2-3) allowed three runs on seven hits and one walk with seven strikeouts through 5.2 innings, taking the loss in Wednesday's 4-0 defeat to the Brewers.
EDGE Analysis
Well, all good things must come to an end. One night after clinching a playoff berth with a franchise-record 17th consecutive win, the Cardinals suffered their first loss since Sept. 10. Mikolas was beyond solid for the majority of the night, allowing a run in the first before holding the Brewers scoreless through his next five innings pitched. But, with two outs in the sixth, Daniel Vogelbach took the right-hander yard for a two-run shot. After Lorenzo Cain followed that up with a base hit, manager Mike Shildt made a call to the bullpen. Even though it will be Mikolas' name affixed with an "L" in the box score of the game that ended the Redbirds' historic streak, he recorded season highs in strikeouts (seven) and pitches thrown (96). As the Cardinals look to make a run into October, look for Mikolas to pick up some work. He is the proud owner of a 1.50 ERA over 12 postseason innings.

Mikolas (2-2) allowed two runs on four hits and no walks with three strikeouts through seven innings, picking up the win in Wednesday's 10-2 victory over the Brewers.
EDGE Analysis
Mikolas was staked to a 6-0 lead by the time the second inning rolled around and cruised to his second victory of the season Wednesday. The right-hander entered play having gone no deeper than 5.2 innings in a start this year, so to see him go seven is a boon for a Cardinals team that is as hot as any in baseball. The 33-year-old also set a new season high in pitches thrown with 91. He'll look to replicate this performance in his next outing, which figures to be against these same Brewers on Tuesday.

Mikolas (1-2) picked up the win over San Diego on Friday, pitching 5.2 scoreless innings during which he allowed three hits and two walks while striking out three.
EDGE Analysis
The Padres managed only one extra-base hit against Mikolas and were unable to get to him for any runs. The right-hander lasted a season-high 5.2 frames and fell one out shy of his first quality start of the campaign. Mikolas isn't much of a fantasy asset thanks to his low strikeout total (21 in 32 innings) and uninspiring ERA (4.50), but he could be a major factor down the stretch for a Cardinals club that currently holds a one-game lead for the second National League wild-card spot. Mikolas' next chance to contribute will likely come next week at Milwaukee.

Mikolas did not factor in the decision against Cincinnati on Saturday, allowing four runs on six hits and one walk while striking out one over five innings.
EDGE Analysis
The right-hander was mostly effective outside of the third inning, when he surrendered four runs on four hits, including a pair of homers. He didn't miss many bats, however, notching just one punchout and five swinging strikes. Mikolas has yet to pick up a win through six outings this season, and his 5.47 ERA along with subpar strikeout numbers make him an unexciting fantasy option. He's likely to next take the mound at home against the Padres on Friday.

Mikolas (0-2) allowed five runs (four earned) on five hits and two walks while striking out three in five innings as he took the loss Monday versus the Dodgers.
EDGE Analysis
The 33-year-old allowed five batters to reach base in the first inning, leading to four of the runs against him. St. Louis wasn't able to muster much offense against Dodgers ace Max Scherzer, leaving Mikolas with his second loss in five starts this year. He's posted a 5.06 ERA, 1.41 WHIP and 17:7 K:BB through 21.1 innings. The veteran right-hander is on track for another home start this weekend versus Cincinnati.

Mikolas didn't factor into the decision in the first game of Wednesday's doubleheader against the Reds, giving up four runs on five hits and a walk over three innings. He struck out three.
EDGE Analysis
The right-hander exited the game after 55 pitches (35 strikes) and was on the hook for his second loss of the season, but the Cards took the lead for good in the top of the fourth inning. Mikolas has completed five frames only once in three starts since coming off the IL, and he'll carry a 4.41 ERA and 14:5 K:BB through 16.1 innings into his next outing.

Mikolas will not make his scheduled start after Tuesday's game against the Reds was postponed, Jeff Jones of the Belleville News-Democrat reports.
EDGE Analysis
The game will be made up as part of a doubleheader Wednesday, and Mikolas will take the ball in Game 1, per Katie Woo of The Athletic. The righty has allowed five runs (three earned) on 10 hits in 9.1 innings since returning from the injured list.

Mikolas (0-1) did not factor into the decision in a loss to the Pirates on Thursday, pitching 4.1 innings allowing three runs on eight hits with one walk and three strikeouts.
EDGE Analysis
In what was only his third start of the season, Mikolas allowed a season-high eight hits Thursday, one of which resulted in a third inning home run from Colin Moran. The right-hander threw 76 pitches in the contest before being removed in the fifth after throwing 84 in his previous start, likely meaning he won't be on any sort of pitch-count going forward. Mikolas is tentatively scheduled to take the mound next week against Cincinnati.

Mikolas (0-1) was tagged with the loss Friday against Pittsburgh, pitching five innings and allowing two unearned runs on two hits and two walks while striking out five.
EDGE Analysis
Mikolas put together a solid outing, especially considering the fact that he hadn't pitched in a big-league game since May 22. The right-hander was dinged for two runs in the fourth inning -- partly as a result of a fielding error by Harrison Bader -- but he retired the last six batters he faced, including three by strikeout. Mikolas was allowed to toss 84 pitches in the contest, so he isn't likely to be on a significant pitch count moving forward. He's tentatively scheduled to make his next start in a rematch with Pittsburgh -- this time on the road -- next week.
