Mike Trout went 3-for-4 with a triple and a steal versus the Padres on Friday.
Trout is hitting .338 with three homers since his callup, so it certainly doesn't look like he'll be exiting the Angels lineup anytime soon. With the way Mark Trumbo is playing, the Angels might actually be better off without Torii Hunter.

Mike Trout homered and doubled to lead the Angels offense in Saturday's defeat of the Blue Jays.
The Angels kept penciling Trout into the lineup in spite of his rough start and were rewarded tonight. He had been hitting .182 with one run scored and no RBI in six games in the leadoff spot.

Mike Trout picked up his first hit of the season on Monday -- a third-inning double -- as part of a 1-for-4 night against the Twins.
That puts him at 1-for-11 (.091) in three games since his call-up. He'll get a juicy match-up Tuesday against struggling left Francisco Liriano.

Mike Trout went 0-for-4 with a strikeout in his 2012 MLB debut on Saturday against the Indians.
Trout filed out in the first, struck out swinging in the third, fouled out in the fifth and grounded out in his final at-bat in the seventh. It was a pretty underwhelming debut, but he should continue to play pretty regularly between left field and center. His at-bats will likely cut into the playing time of both Vernon Wells and Peter Bourjos. Expectations should be kept in check considering that he's still only 20 years old and batted just .220/.281/.390 over 135 plate appearances last year, but he's still worth grabbing in all formats on the chance that he's up for good this time.

Mike Trout will make his regular season debut Saturday.
Trout is starting in left field and batting leadoff. Angels manager Mike Scioscia expects him to play regularly, so he'll likely start to steal at-bats from Vernon Wells and Peter Bourjos. Trout was recalled Friday when the Angels cut ties with veteran Bobby Abreu.

Mike Trout was pulled from Sunday's game as a precautionary measure.
Trout was hit by a pitch in the fourth inning of a Triple-A Salt Lake game. "It was just a precautionary thing. We had a lead at the time, so rather than having him play through it, I pulled him," Bees manager Keith Johnson said. "Everything's good." Trout is batting .400 through 18 games.

Mike Trout is hitting .500 (10-for-20) over his first five games with Triple-A Salt Lake.
Trout went 2-for-4 with his first homer on Monday. The 20-year-old was understandably sent down to the minors after dealing with the flu and a shoulder ailment during spring training, but the clamoring for him to return to the majors will only get louder if he keeps it up and Vernon Wells continues to struggle.

Angels optioned OF Mike Trout to Triple-A Salt Lake.
An expected move, even before Trout dealt with the flu and more recently a shoulder ailment. The should injury isn't expected to be a big deal, and the top prospect should be ready to roll once the minor league season begins. Trout is talented enough to be in the big leagues now, but it's not the worst thing to get him some more seasoning, especially with the Angels loaded with outfielders. He could make some noise later this season.

Mike Trout (shoulder) has been cleared by doctors to begin throwing again.
It hasn't been the best spring for one of baseball's best prospects. The talented 20-year-old outfielder lost over 10 pounds to the flu earlier this spring. Trout will play soft toss Monday and is expected to play the outfield in a game last this week. He's all but certain to begin the year at Triple-A.
