Michael Morse (quad) is with the Mariners for Friday's series opener against the Twins, but isn't ready to return to the starting lineup. Morse left Tuesday's game with a strained quad and traveled back to Seattle to undergo tests and treatment. He's back with the team and is feeling some improvement, but his status is day to day for now.

Mariners manager Eric Wedge is hopeful that Michael Morse's (quad) absence is "something minimal, in 3-5 day range." Morse had tested on his strained left quad Wednesday, and evidently they didn't reveal anything too bad. The unfortunate thing is that the M's also have Justin Smoak (oblique) banged up, so Morse could be placed on the DL if his recovery drags on at all.

Michael Morse (quad) is not in the Mariners' lineup Wednesday. Morse is considered day-to-day after leaving Tuesday's game with a strained left quad. Endy Chavez is getting the start in right field Wednesday in Morse's place.

Michael Morse is day-to-day after being diagnosed with a strained right quad. Morse suffered the injury while rounding third base during the fourth inning of Tuesday's game. It's good that they're calling him day-to-day for now, but we should know more about how long he might be out after he's re-evaluated.

Michael Morse left Tuesday's game against the Padres after four innings with an apparent injury. Morse appeared to tweak something as he rounded third base while trying to score in the bottom of the fourth. The Mariners should provide an update on his status shortly.

Michael Morse went 2-for-4 with a three-run homer in Monday's win over the Padres. The M's hit three over the boards against Clayton Richard, including Morse's blast in the first inning. "The Beast" has been streaky this season, and he's sporting a pretty uninspiring .250/.314/.465 batting line overall, but it's come along with 11 dingers and 21 RBI. He should continue to provide some pop for fantasy owners.

Michael Morse went 0-for-4 on Saturday and is 3-for-25 for the month of May. Morse has nine homers, but he's been just the one-category player so far. His average is down to .220 and he's totaled 12 runs scored, 15 RBI and zero steals in 123 at-bats. Most likely, he'll start driving in more runs to go along with the homers, but he's not going to be all that valuable in fantasy leagues this year.
