The Orioles were the team that claimed Michael Morse off revocable waivers, reports CBS Sports' Jon Heyman. The O's also have a claim in on Twins outfielder Josh Willingham and will look to trade for one of them (or perhaps both of them) before this weekend. Morse, an impending free agent, has hit .226/.283/.410 with 13 home runs and 27 RBI in 76 games this season for Seattle. He'd get a big boost in fantasy value if heads to Baltimore.

Connolly hears that the Orioles would like to get both players in a combo deal. Morse would be a big upgrade out of the DH spot while Perez has revived his career out of the bullpen. FOX Sports' Jon Paul Morosi hears that the Mariners are involved in active trade discussions regarding both Perez and Tom Wilhelmsen. Meanwhile, Danny Knobler hears that the Mariners are also talking with the Rays about Morse.

Joel Sherman of the New York Post reports that Mariners outfielder Michael Morse is "very available." Sherman suspects that the Yankees might have interest but notes that there are no serious talks between the two teams at this time. Morse was activated from a five-week disabled list stint on Monday. He has good power and would be a nice addition for most contenders.
