Taylor is out of the lineup for Wednesday's game against the Yankees, Gary Phillips of the New York Daily News reports.
EDGE Analysis
He'll take a seat for just the second time all season while the Twins and Yankees conclude their series with a day game after a night game. Nick Gordon will replace Taylor in center field and bat seventh.

Taylor went 1-for-4 with a solo home run in Sunday's 3-1 win over the Nationals.
EDGE Analysis
Taylor took Patrick Corbin long in the fourth to put the Twins ahead 2-1. The 32-year-old has been a consistent lineup fixture, but more so for his defensive talent rather than his skill at the plate. Taylor is now slashing .323/.274/.435 with four home runs, eight RBI, seven runs and a 2:27 BB:K over 74 plate appearances.

Taylor is out of the lineup Thursday versus the Red Sox.
EDGE Analysis
Taylor is sitting out for the first time all season after manning center field in each of the Twins' first 18 contests. Nick Gordon will enter the lineup in Taylor's stead Thursday.

Taylor went 2-for-4 with a pair of two-run home runs in Thursday's 11-2 win over the Yankees.
EDGE Analysis
Taylor doubled up New York's run total by himself with his third consecutive two-hit game. While power hitting has never been a consistent part of the veteran's game, his three homers through the first 13 games currently puts him on pace to surpass his career-high of 19 long balls, which he set back in 2017 with the Nationals.

Taylor will start in center field and bat ninth in Monday's game against the White Sox.
EDGE Analysis
Taylor had been scheduled to receive his first day off of the season, but he'll end up making his 10th consecutive start to begin the campaign after Carlos Correa (back) was a late scratch from the lineup. With Nick Gordon moving to second base to cover Correa's spot in the middle infield, Taylor will patrol center field like he usually does.

Taylor is out of the lineup for Monday's game against the White Sox.
EDGE Analysis
With the Twins opening their series versus the White Sox with a day game, Taylor will get a breather for the first time this season. Nick Gordon will take over in center field in place of Taylor, who is hitting .194 with two extra-base hits (both doubles) and a stolen base across 32 plate appearances through his first nine games with the Twins.

Taylor went 1-for-3 with a stolen base in Wednesday's 5-2 loss to the Marlins.
EDGE Analysis
Hitting ninth and starting in center field, Taylor punched a single to left field in the sixth inning before stealing his first bag of the season, but the Twins couldn't bring him home. The veteran has had a quiet start at the plate, going 4-for-20 (.200) with a double, no runs or RBI and a 0:6 BB:K. However, his main role on the team this season is to play quality defense and allow Byron Buxton to stay healthy as the DH.

Taylor started in center field and went 1-for-4 in Thursday's season-opening win at Kansas City.
EDGE Analysis
Taylor looks set to be the primary center fielder with Minnesota's plan to easy Byron Buxton into action by starting him at DH as he returns from offseason knee surgery. It will be interesting to see if the Twins use anyone other than Taylor in center field early in the season as there's not a clear next-best option, although Nick Gordon, Joey Gallo and Max Kepler could all see action in center.

Taylor could get more playing time early in the season with manager Rocco Baldelli saying Byron Buxton will primarily be used at DH initially, Dan Hayes of The Athletic reports.
EDGE Analysis
Taylor, Nick Gordon and Joey Gallo could all be used in center field based on matchups, but Taylor (a former Gold Glove winner) offers the best defense of the trio. Buxton underwent arthroscopic knee surgery in late September, and the Twins are being very careful about easing him into action this spring. Buxton could spend the first month or more mostly playing DH. Taylor is hitting .229 (8-for-35) with a home run this spring.

Taylor was traded Wednesday from the Royals to the Twins, Jeff Passan of ESPN.com reports. In return, the Royals will receive left-handed pitching prospect Evan Sisk and right-hander Steven Cruz.
EDGE Analysis
Taylor has been the subject of trade rumors for most of the winter, and he will stay in the division with the trade. In 124 games last season, the 31-year-old hit nine homers with four steals while slashing .254/.313/.357 for the Royals. Taylor could get a strong amount of playing time with the Twins, but there isn't much fantasy upside in his right-handed bat.
