Taylor went 1-for-4 with a two-run home run in Friday's 5-4 loss to the Tigers.
EDGE Analysis
Taylor's sixth-inning blast tied the game at 4-4, and it was his third homer in his last five contests. Taylor's gone 8-for-22 (.364) with a triple, nine RBI and five runs scored in that span as he manages to hold onto a regular role in center field despite the Royals being in full-on evaluation mode for their major-league-ready prospects. For the season, the veteran outfielder is slashing a respectable .263/.326/.380 with nine long balls, 40 RBI, 42 runs scored and three steals through 103 games.

Taylor went 2-for-3 with a solo home run and a walk for a total of three RBI and two runs scored in a 9-7 victory over the White Sox on Tuesday.
EDGE Analysis
Taylor went deep in his second straight game played as part of an excellent performance in which he reached base three times and racked up three RBI. Taylor has a career-best 2.9 Baseball-Reference WAR this year and appears to be seeing the ball well at the moment. He has five hits in his past 10 at-bats and is hitting .264 on the season.

Taylor went 3-for-6 with a solo home run for a total of four RBI in a 15-7 win over the Padres on Sunday.
EDGE Analysis
Taylor had been in the midst of a terrible August slump coming into the game. Perhaps the three-hit performance will jolt him out of the cold stretch which saw him slashing .190/.238/.203 in 79 at-bats before rapping out these three hits. The home run was his seventh of the season and his four-RBI day at the plate gives him 35 total in 2022.

Taylor went 0-for-3 with a walk and a stolen base in Wednesday's 5-3 win over the Diamondbacks.
EDGE Analysis
Taylor has had a poor August, hitting just .203 (15-for-74) with one steal, three RBI, five runs scored and a double in 23 contests. The outfielder is down to a .260/.327/.352 slash line with six home runs, two steals, 31 RBI and 36 runs scored through 97 contests. The 31-year-old is one of few veterans on a Royals team fully in evaluation mode, so it's possible he could be rested regularly down the stretch to test the readiness of players like Drew Waters and Kyle Isbel in center field.
