The Tigers are listing Boyd (oblique) as their scheduled starter for Monday's game against the Angels, Maria Guardado of MLB.com reports.
EDGE Analysis
Boyd departed in the fifth inning of his last start May 22 against the Twins with oblique spasms, but his inclusion among Detroit's probable starters for the upcoming four-game series suggests he completed a bullpen session over the weekend without incident. Though he has seen his velocity drop a few ticks from 2017, Boyd has been the most dependable member of the Detroit rotation this season, allowing no more than four earned runs in any of his nine starts this season and posting a 41:17 K:BB across 52 frames. Boyd is in store for a double dip during the Tigers' seven-game week, with his second turn falling Saturday at home against the Blue Jays.

Boyd was pulled from Tuesday's game against the Twins with left oblique spasms, Chris McCosky of The Detroit News reports.
EDGE Analysis
Boyd lasted only four innings (61 pitches) and allowed two runs on one hit with two walks and four strikeouts. The 27-year-old started the fifth inning with back-to-back walks which prompted a visit from the athletic trainer, and he subsequently left the game. The initial diagnosis of oblique spasms rather than a strain is a good sign, but Boyd's status for his next expected start -- Monday against the Angels -- is currently up in the air.

Boyd (1-3) took the loss Sunday against the Royals, allowing four earned runs over seven innings. He gave up six hits and a walk while striking out five.
EDGE Analysis
Boyd pitched reasonably well, as he only allowed seven baserunners in his seven innings of work, but he ran into some trouble in the third inning. After retiring the first two hitters in the frame, he gave up a single, a walk, a double and another single, and Kansas City had three runs and a 4-0 lead. Boyd will take a solid 3.00 ERA into his next start, which is scheduled for Saturday against the Mariners.

Boyd (1-2) picked up the win Tuesday against the Rays, allowing just one run over six innings. He gave up seven hits and a walk while striking out seven.
EDGE Analysis
This was a good rebound effort for Boyd, who gave up four runs across 3.2 innings in his last start. Tampa Bay ace Chris Archer gave up just two runs in his six innings of work, but Boyd was sharper in this one as he lowered his season ERA to a stellar 2.48. The 27-year-old will look to build on this strong start his next time out Sunday against the Royals, which projects to be another good matchup.

Boyd had his next start bumped from Tuesday to Wednesday against the Pirates, Evan Woodbery of MLive.com reports.
EDGE Analysis
The only major result of the change for Boyd is an additional day of rest from last Wednesday's start. The 26-year-old has put together a fantastic start to the season with a 1.40 ERA and 0.67 WHIP and 11 strikeouts over 19.1 innings. Boyd has allowed only one run in each of his three starts and will look to continue his impressive run against the Pirates.

Boyd (0-1) had to settle for a no-decision in Wednesday's 6-5 win over the Orioles, allowing one run on two hits and three walks over 6.1 innings while striking out six.
EDGE Analysis
The left-hander continued his impressive start to the season, as Boyd has given up exactly one run in each of his three outings, delivering a quality start each time. His 11:4 K:B in 19.1 innings indicates how much he's been relying on his defense, however, and just how fragile his 1.40 ERA actually is. Boyd will next take the mound Tuesday in Pittsburgh.

Boyd is listed as the probable starter for Wednesday's game against the Orioles.
EDGE Analysis
Boyd's third start of the season will come three days later than he was initially expected after postponements Saturday and Sunday against the Yankees forced the Tigers to push each of their starters back in the pitching schedule. While the shuffling of the schedule denied Boyd of a two step last week, he'll at least trade a matchup against a powerful Yankees squad with a more favorable one at home against an Orioles offense that ranked 23rd in the majors in terms of wRC+ entering play Sunday.

Boyd will not pitch Sunday against the Yankees after Game 1 of the doubleheader was postponed.
EDGE Analysis
The night game could still happen, but in that event, Francisco Liriano will take the ball. Boyd will either start Tuesday or Wednesday against the Orioles. Sunday's night game will need to happen in order for Boyd to make two starts next week.

Boyd pitched seven innings of one-run ball in a no-decision Tuesday against the Indians. He gave up just three hits and a walk while striking out four.
EDGE Analysis
Through two starts this year, Boyd has given up just two earned runs in 13 innings of work, but he's sitting at 0-1 due to lackluster run support. However, if the 27-year-old lefty keeps pitching like this, he should get into the win column soon. It's too early to fully trust Boyd after he posted a 5.27 ERA and 1.56 WHIP last season, but he's making positive strides. Up next is a tough test against the Yankees' powerful lineup on Sunday.
