Davidson went 1-for-5 with a three-run home run in Tuesday's 9-4 loss to the Indians.
EDGE Analysis
Davidson's first-inning homer, his 24th of the season, gave the White Sox a brief, early lead but that was the end of Chicago's output. The 26-year-old has provided a lot of juice to a lineup that lacks pop, but we're now seeing the batting average tumble. He had been able to hang around the .240-.250 through much of the summer, but is now sitting at .228 after an 18-game stretch of .149 (10-for-67). There isn't an in-house option at third base ready to come up from the minors to play the position next season, so you'll likely see Davidson bubble up on fantasy cheatsheets next year. You'll have to decide whether his 25-30 homer potential is here to stay and worth it while carrying a low-.200s average and prodigious strikeout rate (38.3%).

Davidson started at first base Thursday in place of the injured Jose Abreu (elbow) and went 1-for-5 with a run scored in a 5-4 loss to the Twins.
EDGE Analysis
The injury doesn't sound like it will linger, but Davidson will be around in case it does. Davidson, who has resurrected his career in 2017, made his 10th start at first base and would need a more significant injury to reach the magical 20-start threshold. As it is right now, Davidson will qualify next season at third base and DH.

Davidson is not in the lineup for Friday's game against the Tigers.
EDGE Analysis
The White Sox reinstated Davidson from the DL on Friday, but Davidson will not immediately return to the lineup. Davidson hit just .210 in July before landing on the DL with a wrist injury and he's striking out at a 38.3 percent clip this season, but given the options behind him at third base (Yolmer Sanchez, Tyler Saladino), it seems likely that he will be in the lineup more often than not down the stretch.

Davidson (wrist) was reinstated from the disabled list prior to Friday's game against the Tigers.
EDGE Analysis
Davidson only needed one rehab appearance with Triple-A Charlotte before returning to the big-league club, and it appears as though he's ready to go for this weekend's series versus Detroit. Throughout the course of the season, Davidson is hitting .238/.284/.500 with 22 home runs and 51 RBI and should continue to receive everyday starts for Chicago moving forward.

Davidson (wrist) was sent to Triple-A Charlotte on Wednesday for a rehab assignment.
EDGE Analysis
Davidson passed the test during his pre-game workout prior to Tuesday's contest against the Twins, and will embark on a rehab assignment with Charlotte. He figures to spend at least a week with the minor-league club, but should be able to return to Chicago around the end of the month. Prior to going down with the wrist injury in early August, Davidson was slashing .238/.284/.500 with 22 home runs and 51 RBI on the year.

Davidson (wrist) has been cleared to begin a minor-league rehab assignment with Triple-A Charlotte, Colleen Kane of the Chicago Tribune reports.
EDGE Analysis
Davidson was able to get through Tuesday's workouts without any issue, clearing the way for him to head out on a rehab assignment, the final step in his recovery from a wrist injury that has kept him on the shelf all month. It's unclear when the rehab stint will begin, but it's expected to take him into early September, according to Scott Merkin of MLB.com. When he returns, he should reclaim his role as the everyday third baseman for the White Sox.

Davidson (wrist) will begin a rehab assignment later this week if he checks out after Tuesday's workout, Daryl Van Schouwen of the Chicago Sun-Times reports.
EDGE Analysis
Davidson has been out since August 1, when he was hit by a Marcus Stroman pitch in the wrist. His rehab assignment should be a quick one -- the minor league season ends in early September anyway, so don't expect Davidson to be on rehab for longer than a week.

Davidson (wrist) took grounders and batting practice Saturday and could set out on a rehab assignment in the coming week, Daryl Van Schouwen of The Chicago Sun Times reports.
EDGE Analysis
A hiccup in his rehab last week pushed Davidson's return date back, but he does appear to be making inroads towards getting back on the field in the near future. Given the length of Davidson's absence, he'll now likely require a rehab assignment before rejoining the White Sox, but it could be a brief one that starts as soon as this week. Davidson will add some pop to the White Sox lineup from the hot corner once he's activated from the DL.

Davidson said his wrist will be re-evaluated in the next few days, Paul Skrbina of the Chicago Tribune reports.
EDGE Analysis
Davidson felt discomfort when attempting to swing a bat last Friday and said "it hasn't been getting much better." Davidson, who has 22 homers and 51 RBI over 302 at-bats, has not played since Aug. 1.

Davidson (thumb) felt discomfort while swinging a bat Friday, Paul Skrbina of the Chicago Tribune reports.
EDGE Analysis
Davidson and the White Sox had been hoping he could return for Tuesday's series-opener against the Dodgers, but that appears unlikely given the discomfort he's still feeling. While Davidson has been sidelined, Yolmer Sanchez and Tyler Saladino have been getting starts at third base while Nicky Delmonico and Kevan Smith have served as designated hitter.
