Davidson went 1-for-4 with a two-run home run in Wednesday's 2-1 win over the Rays.
EDGE Analysis
Davidson delivered in the bottom of the eighth inning with the White Sox down a run, belting his fifth home run of the season, a two-run shot that snapped the White Sox's five-game losing streak and salvaged one win on their six-game homestand. Prior to the game-winning hit, Davidson had struck out looking in two at-bats with three men combined in scoring position. The early returns are positive for Davidson, who is walking more, striking out less and not chasing pitches outside the zone.

Davidson has swung at fewer pitches outside zone and is second on the White Sox with six walks through eight games.
EDGE Analysis
The slugging third baseman, who walked just 19 times over 443 plate appearances in 2017, is seeing positive results early on from a rededicated approach. Hopefully it spurs Davidson to continue looking for good pitches to drive. "I'm just trying to swing at good pitches, not swing at balls and walk more," Davidson told Cat Garcia of the Chicago Sun-Times. "If I decide to swing, [I] just swing at better pitches. I think overall the season is going to go well, so really that's my main goal." Davidson has uncorked his swing at a 36.2 percent clip this season, down from 48.4 in 2017 when he led the team with a 37.2 K%. This is an extremely small sample size, and it can all go awry if he experiences an extended slump, but it looks like Davidson is trying to be a more well-rounded hitter this year while still being a home run threat.

Davidson is not in the lineup for Monday's game against the Rays, Brain Sandalow of the Chicago Sun-TImes reports.
EDGE Analysis
Davidson will head to the bench for the first time all season after starting each of the White Sox's first eight games. While it's a small sample size, the 27-year-old is off to a solid start to the 2018 campaign, slashing .250/.400/.714 with four homers, eight RBI and nine runs scored through 35 plate appearances. Tyler Saladino will serve as the DH and hit eighth in his stead Monday.

Davidson went 2-for-3 with two walks, an RBI and four runs in Chicago's 9-7 loss against the Tigers on Thursday.
EDGE Analysis
After following up his monster three-homer Opening Day performance with an 0-for-11 skid, Davidson has gotten back on track the last two games, with three hits in his last six at-bats, including a solo home run and Thursday's two-hit, four-run outburst. He's now got a 1.354 OPS through his first 22 at-bats and while he won't maintain that blistering of a pace over the course of a full season, Davidson will keep getting at-bats as long as he keeps hitting. Ride this hot start for as long as it lasts.

Davidson started at first base and went 1-for-4 with a solo home run in Wednesday's 4-3 win over the Blue Jays.
EDGE Analysis
Davidson, who had served as designated hitter the first four games, got out of the dugout Wednesday and snapped an 0-for-11 slide with a fourth-inning homer, his fourth in five games. He talked to Daryl Van Schouwen of the Chicago Sun-Times about the impact of downtime between plate appearances when he's DH. "DHing is a lot easier if you're going well, but if you're struggling, it can get in your head," Davidson said. "If you're going good, you're loose, and if you're struggling, you don't have the luxury of going out to play defense to take your mind off it.''

Davidson clubbed three home runs in an Opening Day victory over the Royals on Thursday. He finished 3-for-4 with five RBI and four runs.
EDGE Analysis
Davidson managed to carry over his torrid pace from spring training into Thursday's season opener. He took three different pitchers deep, sending offerings from Danny Duffy, Blaine Boyer, and Brian Flynn into the stands. Davidson's power isn't in question after he hit 26 home runs in 414 at-bats last season, but he'll need to continue creating consistent contact to remain a fixture in the White Sox lineup throughout the year. Still, this is the kind of start to the year that'll make Davidson one of the most popular adds in shallower leagues where he's still available.

Davidson went 3-for-4 with a home run, two RBI and three runs scored in Monday's game against Arizona.
EDGE Analysis
Davidson continues to crush it and leads all of MLB with 18 spring RBI. He's earned an everyday spot in the lineup, either at third base or designated hitter. Fantasy owners ought to be skeptical given Davidson's anemic batting average (.220) and high strikeout rate (37.2%) last year, but there's no doubting his power potential. The White Sox aren't expected to compete for the playoffs, so they'll have the space to let Davidson get 500 plate appearances.

Davidson went 2-for-4 with an RBI on Monday and is hitting .375/.444/.725/1.169 with three home runs, three doubles, a triple, five runs scored and 16 RBI over 40 spring at-bats.
EDGE Analysis
Davidson is out to prove he deserves an everyday role for the White Sox in 2018. He was second on the team with 26 home runs last season, but other aspects of his offensive repertoire were lacking. Davidson hit just .220, with a .260 on-base percentage that was second-worst among regulars in the AL and struck out 165 times (37.2 K%). His impressive spring numbers are encouraging, but that's all they are. Until the games count and Davidson can maintain good plate appearances over longer stretches, but he's put himself in position to be lineup regular.

Davidson started at designated hitter and went 1-for-2 with a two-run home run in Tuesday's game against the Cubs.
EDGE Analysis
Davidson has hit two home runs and is batting .500 thus far in camp. The 26-year-old has his problems making consistent contact, but his power potential is unquestioned. One decision manager Rick Renteria will make this spring is whether Davidson opens the season at third base or DH. Either way, he should get 400-500 at-bats.

Davidson had an RBI double Monday, giving him five RBI through three spring games.
EDGE Analysis
Davidson has hit safely in all three contests as he makes an early bid to win a regular job as the starting third baseman or designated hitter. He'll need to sustain consistent contact over longer stretches of time to win an everyday role, but the White Sox aren't expected to contend in 2018 and can afford to give at-bats to a player like Davidson.
