Luke Gregerson holds a 1.35 ERA and 0.75 WHIP over his first 13 appearances this season.
Gregerson has struck out just nine over 13 1/3 innings, but his strikeout rate will climb. One of the better setup men in the game, Gregerson and his nasty slider will continue to set up for Huston Street and would slide into the closer role if Street is injured or traded.

Luke Gregerson requested $3.75 million and was offered $2.875 million from the Padres when arbitration figures were exchanged Friday.
Gregerson is arbitration-eligible for the second time after he earned $1.55 million last season while posting a 2.39 ERA and 72/21 K/BB ratio over 71 2/3 innings. Look for the two sides to settle somewhere in the neighborhood of the $3.31 million midpoint.

Luke Gregerson picked up his ninth save in Wednesday's 7-6, season-ending win over the Brewers, notching two strikeouts in a perfect inning of work.
Arbitration eligible this offseason, Gregerson finishes 2012 the owner of a 2.39 ERA, 1.09 WHIP and 72/21 K/BB ratio in 71 2/3 innings across 77 appearances. Those numbers would be good enough to close for a lot of teams, but with Huston Street under contract through 2014, Gregerson will return to a setup role if he's brought back this winter.

Luke Gregerson notched his second save in as many games Wednesday in the Padres' 3-2 defeat of the Cardinals.
Gregerson allowed a leadoff double to Allen Craig to open the ninth inning, but the threat basically stopped there. Cardinals manager Mike Matheny had Yadier Molina bunt, then David Freese and Skip Schumaker hit into groundouts. It was a complete botch job by the St. Louis skipper and gave the Padres an unlikely three-game sweep. Gregerson will continue to hold fantasy value until Huston Street (calf) returns.

Luke Gregerson suffered a blown save Monday against the Dodgers when he served up a solo homer to Andre Ethier.
Gregerson came on in the eighth and got Matt Kemp to ground out. He then struck out Hanley Ramirez to start off the ninth before Ethier's blast. It's the second straight save chance where he's been taken deep, though this is his first blown save since taking over the ninth inning. We anticipate him keeping the job until Huston Street returns.

Luke Gregerson allowed a solo homer to Andrew Brown on Friday, but managed to preserve a Padres victory, notching his third save of the season.
He has clearly supplanted Dale Thayer as the go-to option for saves with Huston Street on the DL. Unfortunately for fantasy owners who have gambled on him, Street is expected to return to the active roster on Sunday.

Gregerson should have been closing over Dale Thayer all along. He has a 2.28 ERA in 59 1/3 innings this season.

Luke Gregerson earned his first save of the season in Sunday's victory over the Diamondbacks.
Gregerson struck out two in an easy 1 1/3 innings. The right-hander has a 2.31 ERA and 61/16 K/BB ratio in 61 appearances (58 1/3 total frames) this season, and could vulture a few more saves before Huston Street makes his way back from a calf injury.
