Luke Gregerson (oblique) was able to play catch four times during the Padres' recent roadtrip. "Hopefully, in the next couple of days he'll be able to go to the bullpen and throw off the mound," said Padres manager Bud Black. "But he's feeling much better. There's no timetable, but he's passing the necessary steps to get to the mound." Gregerson has been on the disabled list since June 9 with a strained left oblique.

Luke Gregerson (strained oblique) played catch before Saturday's game. Gregerson, who landed on the disabled list June 9th was playing catch with manager Bud Black and said, "It feels good so far." Head trainer Todd Hutcheson was in attendance of the catch and it is up to his staff as to when Gregerson will throw next. He will continue to rehab with the Padres during the road trip.
