Gregerson was activated from the Family Medical Emergency List on Tuesday, MLB.com's Brian McTaggart reports. After missing the previous three contests, Gregerson will return for Tuesday's game against the Giants. He's off to a solid start this season, with seven saves in his first eight chances.

Gregerson, who is on the Family Medical Emergency List, could return as early as Tuesday, the Houston Chronicle reports. "The earliest will obviously be Tuesday, and that's what we're hoping for," manager A.J. Hinch said. Gregerson left the team on Friday and it's thought he'll be back early this week, but nothing has been confirmed. Chad Qualls will likely continue to be the top option for saves while Gregerson is out.

Gregerson was placed on the Family Medical Emergency List on Friday. The length of Gregerson's absence is indefinite, likely making Chad Qualls the top option for saves at the moment. The Astros recalled Asher Wojciechowski from Triple-A Fresno to take his place on the 25-man roster.

Gregerson struck out one during a perfect ninth inning Thursday to earn his seventh save of the season. Gregerson, who retired Matt Joyce, David Freese and Erick Aybar in order for the easy save, has been a key factor in the Astros' turn-around this season. He's helped stabilize a much-improved bullpen, which collectively ranks fifth in MLB with a 2.12 ERA after ranking dead-last (4.80) in the category a year ago.

Gregerson earned his second win of the season in relief Thursday night, working a scoreless 10th inning of a tie game before the Astros walked off against the Mariners in the bottom of the frame. Gregerson has been a valuable fantasy reliever to date, with two wins, four saves and a 1.64 ERA over 11 innings.

Gregerson needed just six pitches to record three outs in the ninth inning Sunday against the A's to earn his fourth save of the season. Gregerson rebounded nicely after blowing a save Friday night against his former team. Through nine relief appearances with the Astros this season, he has a 2.00 ERA, 0.67 WHIP and 8:1 K:BB over nine innings.

Gregerson had his first blown save of the year Friday against the A's, giving up two runs on three hits in the 10th inning. He ultimately got the win, however, when the Astros rallied for three runs in the 11th inning. It was a wild finish Friday night, as the game was scoreless until extra innings. The A's brought in a slew of lefties to pinch-hit against Gregerson, and Josh Reddick's two-out double tied it up. These two runs were the first allowed this year by Gregerson in eight innings, and he still has a 8:1 K:BB. He just is a little vulnerable against teams that can stack lefties against him late in a game.

Gregerson nailed down his third save of the season Monday and second in as many days with a scoreless ninth inning against the Mariners. Gregerson gave up a two-out walk during the appearance - only his third baserunner allowed in seven appearances this season - but it made no difference as he struck out Seth Smith swinging to end the game. The 30-year-old reliever has now pitched three consecutive days, which likely means Pat Neshek or Chad Qualls would receive the save opportunity Tuesday if it came down to it.
