Severino (13-6) allowed two runs on three hits and one walk while striking out seven across eight innings to earn the win Friday against the Orioles.
EDGE Analysis
Severino gave up a two-run homer in the second inning, but the Yankees came up big on the offensive end, helping him earn his 13th victory of the season. He's allowed just three earned runs over three September starts, and he's given fantasy managers an excellent boost during the fantasy playoffs season. He'll make his next start Friday against the Blue Jays.

Severino allowed one run on one hit and three walks while striking out 10 over seven innings in a no-decision against the Rangers on Saturday.
EDGE Analysis
He was brilliant yet again, but the Yankees couldn't muster any offense until the eighth. Severino had an eight-earned-run blowup back on Aug. 12, but he's since returned to dominant form, allowing a total of 17 hits while striking out 45 in his last five starts (32.2 innings). The right-hander has already established himself as one of the game's most exciting arms at just 23 years of age.

Severino gave up one unearned run on two hits and zero walks while striking out nine in six innings Sunday against the Red Sox. He picked up his 12th win of the season.
EDGE Analysis
The electric righty outpitched Chris Sale in this one, and his ERA now sits at a tidy 3.03 over 169.1 innings. He ranks in the top 10 among qualified big-league starters in ERA, WHIP (1.07), FIP (3.12), K-BB% (22.5 percent) and strikeout rate (29 percent), truly establishing himself as an SP1 in fantasy. Severino threw 151.1 innings in 2016, and he is on pace to approach 190-200 innings this season, so it will be interesting to see if the Yankees tinker with the rotation down the stretch in order to preserve their ace for the postseason.

Severino (11-6) took the loss after allowing four runs (three earned) on four hits and three walks despite nine strikeouts over 6.2 innings Monday against Cleveland.
EDGE Analysis
This marks just the second time Severino has allowed more than one earned run in his past nine starts, the other being an eight-run blowup against Boston on August 12. This one could have been much worse, as Severino gave up three home runs but managed to keep the floodgates from bursting by keeping the bases clear before the big flies. Severino has been on a mighty roll since the All-Star break, and even in this modest hiccup, he induced a ludicrous 17 swinging strikes to strike out at least nine batters for the ninth time in 2017.

Severino (11-5) cruised to an easy win over the Tigers on Wednesday, allowing only one run on six hits and a walk over 6.2 innings while striking out eight.
EDGE Analysis
The Yankees handed him a 6-0 lead by the top of the third inning, and Severino took it from there. The right-hander has now won six of his eight starts since the All-Star break, posting a 2.16 ERA, 1.08 WHIP and 59:15 K:BB in 50 innings over that stretch. He'll next take the mound Monday at home against Cleveland.

Severino (10-5) allowed one unearned run and struck out nine in 6.1 inning outing during a win against the Mets on Thursday.
EDGE Analysis
Severino, who was coming off an eight-run disaster against the rival Red Sox, was able to bounce back against the crosstown rivals, only allowing four hits while walking three. He benefitted from keeping the ball in the zone, throwing 74 of his 106 pitches for strikes, allowing him to rack up the nine strikeouts.

Severino (9-5) was charged with 10 runs (eight earned) on eight hits and two walks over 4.1 innings in a loss to the Red Sox on Saturday. He struck out four.
EDGE Analysis
Andrew Benintendi did most of the damage, smacking a pair of three-run home runs off Severino, who saw his ERA jump more than 40 points as a result of this blowup. The 23-year-old had been pitching brilliantly leading up to this outing, allowing one run or fewer in each of his last five starts. He will look to get back on track against the Mets next week.

Severino (9-4) allowed one run on two hits and a walk over 6.2 innings during Sunday's win over the Indians. He struck out nine.
EDGE Analysis
Severino has been on a tear since the All-Star break and showed no signs of slowing down Sunday. His lone mistake came on a Michael Brantley homer in the first inning, but the Indians never really threatened to score after that. Following Severino's masterful outing against the reigning American League champs, the 23-year-old ace has now allowed just three earned runs while tallying 38 strikeouts in his last five starts (32.2 innings). He lines up for a matchup with the rival Red Sox on Saturday.

Severino (8-4) allowed one run on four hits and three walks over five innings in Monday's win over the Tigers. He struck out eight.
EDGE Analysis
The only run on Severino's ledger came on an RBI double from James McCann in the fourth. He threw just eight of 24 first-pitch strikes and labored thanks to 28 foul balls from the Tigers, culminating in his shortest start since May 19. Despite the abbreviated appearance, Severino has allowed just five runs in his previous 33 innings to lower his ERA to a sterling 2.98. There have been whispers that the 23-year-old's workload could be monitored down the stretch, but he is in form at the moment and will look to keep it going Saturday against the Indians.

Severino gave up two runs, both unearned, on three hits and two walks while striking out nine over seven innings Wednesday against the Reds to improve to 7-4 on the season.
EDGE Analysis
The young righty continues to roll, notching his fourth straight start of seven innings, allowing four earned runs and striking out 31 over 28 innings during that stretch. He ranks in the top 10 among qualified big-league starters in ERA (eighth), WHIP (sixth) and strikeouts (eighth), so it's hard to say he has been anything other than a true SP1 this year in mixed leagues. Severino lines up for two starts next week, first at home against the Tigers and then on the road against the Indians.
