Kiermaier is not in the lineup Thursday against the Tigers, the Tampa Bay Times reports.
Kiermaier has started the last nine games, but Ben Zobrist will slide over to right field Thursday, joining Brandon Guyer and Desmond Jennings in the starting outfield. After a strong month of July, Kiermaier is hitting just .121 (7-or-58) in August.

Kiermaier (back) is in the lineup for Tuesday's game against the Rangers.
A bout of lower back tightness resulted in Kiermaier's early exit from Monday's game, but it looks like he won't even miss a start. Kiermaier is set to man right field and bat ninth Tuesday against right-hander Nick Tepesch, as he looks to improve upon his 5-for-31 mark (.161 average) for the month of August.

Updating a previous report, Kiermaier left Monday's game due to lower back tightness, Marc Topkin of the Tampa Bay Times reports.
Kiermaier appears to have left the game for precautionary reasons, so an extended absence isn't expected. If manager Joe Maddon decides to give him some extra time to rest, look for Ben Zobrist to handle right field, which would give Logan Forsythe additional reps at second base.

Kiermaier left Monday's game with an undisclosed injury, Roger Mooney of the Tampa Tribune reports.
Kiermaier apparently suffered the injury while running out a triple in the bottom of the sixth, as he was pulled from the game in the next half inning. It would seem that he might have tweaked his ankle or possibly a hamstring, but the Rays should clarify the extent of the injury after the game.

Kiermaier went 1-for-4 with a two-run homer, three RBI and two runs scored in Wednesday's win over the A's.
Wednesday's effort was certainly encouraging, as Kiermaier came into the contest mired in a 6-for-36 slump across his last 13 games. The rookie outfielder has certainly slowed down at the plate so far in the second half and could be quickly headed for a decrease in playing time with both Wil Myers (wrist) and David DeJesus (hand) possibly returning soon.

Kevin Kiermaier went 3-for-4 with three RBI as the Rays routed the Blue Jays 10-3 on Saturday.
Kiermaier hit a two-run single in the bottom of the sixth inning and added a one-run single in the seventh. He also doubled, and is now batting .310 with a .926 OPS in 47 games this season. It's been a surprising few months from the 24-year-old outfielder, who never really had standout minor league numbers. There could be some serious regression in the second half.
