Rays recalled OF Kevin Kiermaier from Triple-A Durham. Kiermaier was off to a 9-for-29 (.310) start this year at Durham with two home runs, a triple, and seven RBI in seven games. The 23-year-old probably won't play enough in Tampa Bay to carry fantasy relevance.

Kevin Kiermaier went 2-for-2 with a two-run homer in the Rays' 6-3 win over the Blue Jays on Friday. Kiermayer, who got a surprise major league promotion last Sept. 30, is 4-for-11 this spring. He'll spend most of this year in Triple-A, but he projects as a pretty good fourth outfielder for Tampa Bay.

Kevin Kiermaier is on the Rays' roster for Wednesday's Wild Card game against the Indians. Kiermaier will function as an insurance policy for center field with Desmond Jennings nursing a hamstring injury. The Rays didn't include Luke Scott or Freddy Guzman on their roster for the do-or-die game.
