Gausman won't start Game 2 of Sunday's doubleheader against the Padres due to right elbow tightness, Andrew Baggarly of The Athletic reports.
EDGE Analysis
According to Henry Schulman of the San Francisco Chronicle, it has yet to be determined if a trip to the injured list is necessary, and Gausman is set to undergo an MRI to determine the severity of the injury. The Giants have scheduled off days Monday and Thursday, so they won't need the full complements of the starting rotation until after next weekend. Logan Webb will take the mound in the nightcap for San Francisco.

Gausman (3-2) yielded one run on three walks and two hits over six innings Monday, striking out nine and earning the win against the Diamondbacks.
EDGE Analysis
Gausman found himself in a jam during the third inning, loading the bases with just one out, but he managed to escape after allowing just one run. San Francisco's offense tallied four runs in the sixth inning and that was enough support to give the 29-year-old his second straight win. He'll carry a 4.05 ERA into Saturday's road matchup with San Diego.

Gausman (2-2) picked up the win Tuesday against Colorado, pitching five innings and allowing two runs on two hits and one walk while striking out five.
EDGE Analysis
It was a relatively easy outing for the veteran hurler given the 23 runs of support San Francisco put on the scoreboard in the rout. Gausman stuck around just long enough to qualify for the win, throwing 87 pitches and allowing only two hits -- both of which were homers off the bat of Garrett Hampson. Gausman will next face Arizona at home Monday.

Gausman (1-2) was charged with the loss against the Dodgers on Thursday, allowing two runs on three hits and a pair of walks while striking out six across 4.2 innings.
EDGE Analysis
Gausman got the nod in the second half of Thursday's doubleheader and was pulled in the fifth after throwing his 93rd pitch. The right-hander was largely victimized by Joc Pederson, who homered in the second inning, then doubled and scored in the fourth. Otherwise, Gausman limited the Dodgers' damage despite taking his second loss of the season. The 29-year-old will carry a 4.54 ERA and 1.26 WHIP into a tough matchup at Coors Field on Tuesday.

Gausman is not starting Game 1 of Thursday's doubleheader against the Dodgers.
EDGE Analysis
It turns out Logan Webb will get the ball for the first half of Thursday's twin bill, with Gausman likely lined up to start Game 2. Across 31 innings this season, Gausman owns a 4.65 ERA (3.12 FIP) and 42:6 K:BB.

Gausman will start the first game of Thursday's doubleheader against the Dodgers, Jorge Castillo of the Los Angeles Times reports.
EDGE Analysis
Gausman was on track to start Wednesday before the Giants and Dodgers were one of the six MLB teams that elected to postpone games. He'll now return to the mound on a full week's rest after he cleared 100 pitches for the second start in a row in his last outing Aug. 20 against the Angels. The 29-year-old has been a pleasant surprise for the Giants this season, compiling a 4.65 ERA (3.12 FIP) and 42:6 K:BB in 31 innings.

Gausman won't make his scheduled start Wednesday against the Dodgers as the teams elected to postpone the game in protest of the recent police shooting of Jacob Blake, Jeff Passan of ESPN.com reports.
EDGE Analysis
It's the third MLB game of the night to be postponed, as the Mariners and Padres also decided to follow suit from the Brewers and Reds decision. The Giants and Dodgers could make up the contest via a doubleheader Thursday, but no schedule has been announce. Gausman seems likely to pitch Thursday, regardless.

Gausman (1-1) earned the win Thursday against the Angels. He allowed four runs on nine hits and a walk while fanning eight across 5.1 innings.
EDGE Analysis
Gausman didn't have his best stuff and has now allowed three or more runs in four of his last six starts, pushing his ERA up to 4.65. However, the Giants' offense backed him with 10 runs, and that allowed the 29-year-old to notch his first win of the season. Gausman will try to build off this performance in his next scheduled start against the Dodgers on Aug. 26.

Gausman allowed a run on three hits over 6.1 innings in a no-decision versus the Dodgers on Sunday. He struck out six and walked none.
EDGE Analysis
Gausman was excellent in the outing, but perhaps he shouldn't have worked into the seventh inning. He allowed a one-out single to Cody Bellinger before Tyler Rogers came on in relief. It was Rogers who gave up a three-run homer three batters later to spoil Gausman's chances for his first win of the year. The 29-year-old Gausman has a 4.05 ERA, 1.10 WHIP and 23 strikeouts over 20 innings this season. He'll next take the mound Saturday versus the Athletics.

Gausman (0-1) took the loss against Colorado on Tuesday, pitching 5.1 innings and allowing four runs on five hits and one walk while striking out seven.
EDGE Analysis
Gausman's third start of the season wasn't a complete disaster -- he struck out seven batters and allowed only six baserunners in 5.1 frames -- but timely Colorado hitting was enough to saddle the right-hander with his first loss of the campaign. Gausman did do a number of things to inspire confidence in the contest, including throwing 62 of 83 pitches for strikes and registering his highest pitch count of the season. The 29-year-old will face a tough challenge when he heads to Los Angeles to take on the Dodgers on Sunday in his next scheduled start.
