Gausman didn't have his best stuff and has now allowed three or more runs in four of his last six starts, pushing his ERA up to 4.65. However, the Giants' offense backed him with 10 runs, and that allowed the 29-year-old to notch his first win of the season. Gausman will try to build off this performance in his next scheduled start against the Dodgers on Aug. 26.

Gausman allowed a run on three hits over 6.1 innings in a no-decision versus the Dodgers on Sunday. He struck out six and walked none.

Gausman was excellent in the outing, but perhaps he shouldn't have worked into the seventh inning. He allowed a one-out single to Cody Bellinger before Tyler Rogers came on in relief. Gausman did do a number of things to inspire confidence in the contest, including throwing 62 of 83 pitches for strikes and registering his highest pitch count of the season. The 29-year-old will face a tough challenge when he heads to Los Angeles to take on the Dodgers on Sunday in his next scheduled start.
