A slider would be a better option, as it would likely hit the radar gun in the mid-80s. Wilson says his health and arm-strength are right on track at this point in the spring and the Tigers will rely on him and Mark Lowe for the seventh and eighth innings. Wilson has struggled a bit with his command in the early goings of the season as he's sporting a 7:5 K:BB ratio and a 4.05 ERA in 6.2 innings. Manager Joe Girardi hasn't hesitated to use him as the lefty has already appeared in 10 games, but they tend to be brief outings and earlier in the game, rendering him without much fantasy value outside of deeper AL-only formats.

Wilson has pitched seven scoreless innings this spring, striking out eight with just one walk. Wilson was acquired by the Yankees in November as part of the trade that sent Francisco Cervelli to Pittsburgh, and figures to slot in as another left-handed arm out of the bullpen. The team also added southpaw Andrew Miller over the offseason, so he's likely to see the higher leverage situations of the two lefties, but Wilson should present a solid option in the earlier innings.
