Manager Brad Ausmus also isn't concerned and acknowledged that he was prepared to use Wilson as a closer Wednesday over Francisco Rodriguez. Ausmus didn't need to pull that trigger with his team down heading into the later innings. Still, Wilson could see late-inning work soon enough and that could be good enough for a speculative waiver bid this week.
