Ginn took a no-decision Wednesday against Minnesota, allowing two runs on seven hits and two walks in 4.2 innings. He struck out five.
EDGE Analysis
Wednesday's performance was an improvement from Ginn, who yielded a season-high five earned runs his last time out against the Rays. Even so, the seven hits allowed were a season worst, and the right-hander has worked at least five innings just four times among his 10 starts in 2025. Ginn has an uninspiring 4.95 ERA, 1.37 WHIP and 66:20 K:BB over 60 frames, and his streaming appeal should remain limited versus the first-place Tigers next week.

Ginn (2-5) took the loss against Tampa Bay on Wednesday, allowing six runs (five earned) on six hits and one walk while striking out three batters over two innings.
EDGE Analysis
Ginn was ambushed early Wednesday, giving up four runs on four hits in the first inning alone. The lefty surrendered another pair of runs on a Brandon Lowe blast in the second and didn't take the mound in the third frame. The six runs allowed were a season high for Ginn, while the six hits he gave up tied a season-worst mark. Since moving back into the Athletics' rotation July 22, Ginn has struggled to a 5.24 ERA, 1.34 WHIP and 20:9 K:BB over 22.1 innings spanning five starts. He's lined up to face Minnesota on the road in his next start.

Ginn (2-4) took the loss against the Orioles on Friday, allowing three runs on three hits and two walks with nine strikeouts over five innings.
EDGE Analysis
Ginn allowed three runs on two homers in the first inning but settled in to finish with four scoreless frames. He generated a whopping 17 swinging strikes on 87 pitches and now owns a 3.54 ERA through four starts since returning to the rotation July 22. He'll carry a 4.39 ERA, 1.24 WHIP and 58:17 K:BB across 53.1 innings into a home matchup with the Rays next week.

Ginn (2-3) allowed four runs on four hits and five walks while striking out two over 4.1 innings to take the loss Saturday versus the Diamondbacks.
EDGE Analysis
The right-hander took a major step back in this outing after having allowing just one run over his previous 11 innings. The five walks were a season high as well. Ginn was able to stretch out to 85 pitches (45 strikes) Saturday, and he should have a good chance of staying in the rotation following the Athletics' deadline deal that sent JP Sears to the Padres. Ginn has posted a 4.28 ERA, 1.26 WHIP and 49:15 K:BB through 48.1 innings across 14 appearances (seven starts) this season. He's tentatively projected for a road start versus the Orioles next week.

Ginn (2-2) pitched six scoreless innings with four strikeouts to pick up the win Sunday at Houston. He allowed three hits and no walks.
EDGE Analysis
The 26-year-old righty notched his first quality start of the season, as he generated 10 whiffs out of his 77 total pitches in this performance. In two starts and three relief outings this month, Ginn has been a steady performer for the Athletics, pitching to a 2.25 ERA, 1.06 WHIP and 13:3 K:BB in 16 frames. Through 44 total innings that include six starts, he now sports a 3.89 ERA, 1.18 WHIP and 47:10 K:BB with a magnificent 53.7 percent groundball rate. Ginn currently lines up to make his next appearance against the Diamondbacks at home next weekend.

Ginn will start Sunday's game against the Astros.
EDGE Analysis
Ginn was called upon to fill the vacant spot in the Athletics rotation Tuesday against the Rangers, and while the right-hander was limited to 58 pitches he fared well in a no-decision, limiting Texas to one earned run on five hits and one walk while striking out two over five innings. Ginn will be rewarded with a second start, and he should be capable of giving the Athletics around 70-80 pitches Sunday.

Ginn allowed one run on five hits and a walk while striking out two in five innings Tuesday against the Rangers. He did not factor into the decision.
EDGE Analysis
Ginn held the Rangers scoreless through three innings before Adolis Garcia broke through in the fourth with a solo home run. Ginn otherwise kept the Texas offense at bay, though he was pulled after just 58 pitches. Ginn's strikeouts were notably down after he went into Tuesday's start donning an 11.2 K/9. He presumably pitched well enough to get another crack at starting and tentatively lines up to make another start this weekend against Houston.

Ginn will start Tuesday's game against the Rangers, Martin Gallegos of MLB.com reports.
EDGE Analysis
Ginn has been pitching out of the bullpen of late, but he'll return to a starting role for Tuesday's matchup. He should be able to cover at least a few innings for the A's considering he fired 3.2 innings June 30 out of the bullpen and has navigated multiple frames in relief since.

Ginn struck out five over three scoreless innings in a relief appearance Monday against the Astros.
EDGE Analysis
The Athletics didn't reveal what role Ginn would take on when they activated him from the 15-day injured list prior to Monday's contest, but it appears he will work out of the bullpen for now. With Ginn operating in a relief role, Jacob Lopez should remain in the A's rotation for the time being.

The Athletics activated Ginn (quad) from the 15-day injured list Monday.
EDGE Analysis
Ginn missed almost a month of action with a strained quad. The Athletics have not revealed whether Ginn will rejoin the rotation or be used in the bullpen. The club has not announced starters beyond the firs game Monday of its four-game set against the Astros, so Ginn could theoretically slot into the rotation any of those days.
