Ginn (1-1) picked up the win Thursday against Texas, allowing two runs on five hits and two walks across 5.1 innings. He struck out two.
EDGE Analysis
The 25-year-old rookie logged his first MLB victory Thursday in front of a sold-out crowd for the Athletics' final game at the Oakland Coliseum. Ginn's now surrendered two or fewer runs in back-to-back starts, and he owns a 4.45 ERA across six starts (30.1 innings) this season. Ginn also tallied a 25:6 K:BB as a starter.

Ginn allowed one run on four hits and a walk while striking out four over five innings in a no-decision versus the Yankees on Friday.
EDGE Analysis
Ginn completed five frames for the fourth time in his five starts this year, and this was one of his better performances. He limited the damage to a game-tying RBI single by Anthony Volpe in the fifth inning. Ginn hasn't looked uncomfortable at the major-league level, turning in an acceptable 4.40 ERA, 1.33 WHIP and 27:7 K:BB over 28.2 innings across seven outings. His last start of the campaign is tentatively set to be at home versus the Rangers.

Ginn did not factor into the decision Saturday against the White Sox. He pitched four innings and allowed three runs on 10 hits while striking out three.
EDGE Analysis
Ginn was knocked around by the White Sox, giving up three or more hits in each of the first three innings on Saturday. The rookie right-hander was making his fourth consecutive start after pitching in relief in his first two professional appearances. This was Ginn's first start in which he doesn't complete five innings, but he's allowed multiple runs in each of those four starts. The 25-year-old will carry a 4.94 ERA into his next start, currently scheduled against the Yankees.

Ginn (0-1) allowed three runs on seven hits and a walk while striking out five over five innings to take the loss Sunday versus the Tigers.
EDGE Analysis
Ginn gave up two runs in the third inning and another in the fourth, leaving the game with the Athletics trailing 3-0. A comeback wasn't in the cards after Ross Stripling surrendered six runs in the eighth inning, leaving Ginn with his first loss in five major-league appearances (three starts). He's pitched to a 4.58 ERA, 1.17 WHIP and 20:6 K:BB over 19.2 innings. Ginn's next outing is projected to be a favorable road matchup versus the White Sox.

Ginn did not factor into the decision in Tuesday's win over the Mariners, allowing two runs on five hits and a walk while striking out seven over six innings.
EDGE Analysis
Ginn had a rocky start to the game, allowing a single and back-to-back doubles in the opening frame. He blanked the Mariners the rest of the way while only allowing two more base hits despite 10 of the 14 balls in play against him being hard hit. The 25-year-old righty seems likely to get an extended look in the rotation over the final month of the season and projects to take the mound again versus the Tigers over the weekend. Ginn now owns a 4.30 ERA, 1.02 WHIP and 15:5 K:BB in 14.2 inning this season.

Ginn is slated to start Tuesday's game against the Mariners in Oakland.
EDGE Analysis
Ginn will receive a second turn through the rotation after he surrendered four runs on four hits and one walk while striking out four across five innings in his first MLB start this past Thursday in Cincinnati. The Athletics will likely give the 25-year-old right-hander some runway in a starting role during September as he looks to make a case for a permanent spot in the big-league rotation in 2025.

Ginn allowed four runs on four hits and a walk while striking out four over five innings in a no-decision versus the Reds on Thursday.
EDGE Analysis
Given that his first major-league start came in hitter-friendly Great American Ball Park, this was an acceptable performance for Ginn. He yielded a pair of home runs, which were solo shots by Will Benson and Tyler Stephenson, and the Reds were able to scrape together another pair of runs in the fifth. Ginn allowed one run over 3.2 innings in his first two appearances out of the bullpen, but it looks like he has a chance to be a part of the Athletics' rotation over the final month of the season. He's tentatively projected to make his next appearance at home versus light-hitting Seattle.

Ginn is scheduled to start Thursday's game against the Reds in Cincinnati, Jessica Kleinschmidt of the Oakland Athletics Radio Network reports.
EDGE Analysis
After being called up from Triple-A Las Vegas on Aug. 20, Ginn made his first two appearances for Oakland out of the bullpen, striking out four batters over 3.2 innings while giving up one run on one hit and three walks. With the Athletics well out of the mix for playoff contention heading into the final month of the season, Ginn could end up being part of a six-man rotation, though the club will likely wait and see how he fares in his first MLB start Thursday before determining how he'll be used moving forward. Prior to his call-up last week, Ginn turned in a 5.72 ERA, 1.53 WHIP and 69:30 K:BB over 72.1 innings across 15 outings (14 starts) with Las Vegas in the hitter-friendly Pacific Coast League.

Ginn was promoted to High-A Brooklyn on Tuesday, Tim Healey of Newsday reports.
EDGE Analysis
Ginn was selected by the Mets in the second round of the 2020 draft while still working his way back from Tommy John surgery. He showed no ill effects from the procedure in eight starts for Low-A St. Lucie to begin this season, cruising to a 2.56 ERA and 0.93 WHIP. His 23.6 percent strikeout rate doesn't stand out, but both his 6.8 percent walk rate and 57.7 percent groundball rate are strong marks.

Ginn (elbow) was assigned to Low-A St. Lucie Tuesday and is expected to make his professional debut in the coming days, Jacob Resnick of SNYtv reports.
EDGE Analysis
The Mets selected Ginn out of Mississippi State with the 52nd overall pick in the 2020 draft despite the right-hander undergoing Tommy John surgery just a few months prior. The 22-year-old's rehab is now coming to a close as he gets set to make his first appearance for St. Lucie in the very near future.
