Tomlin was placed on the 10-day disabled list Tuesday with a right hamstring strain.
EDGE Analysis
Tomlin started the season in the Indians' rotation, making seven starts with an ugly 7.84 ERA. He hasn't been a whole lot better since moving to the bullpen, posting a 5.50 ERA there in 18 innings. Adam Plutko was called up to take his place in the pen.

Tomlin is expected to be used out of the bullpen moving forward, T.J. Zuppe of The Athletic Cleveland reports.
EDGE Analysis
Tomlin has made six starts for the Indians this season, but he's been moved to a different role as of Sunday. He owns a 0-4 record along with a 7.84 ERA and 1.68 WHIP across 31 innings.

Tomlin allowed four runs on six hits with no walks in a no-decision Tuesday against the Tigers. He struck out four.
EDGE Analysis
Tomlin allowed solo home runs in the first and sixth innings while allowing a pair of runs on three hits in the fifth. He didn't allow an excessive number of baserunners, but three of the hits against him went for extra bases, accounting for a run apiece. Tomlin has endured a miserable run of form over his last four starts, allowing 19 earned runs across 22 innings to bring his ERA to 7.84. He'll look to right the ship Tuesday against the Cubs.

Tomlin is listed as the Indians' probable starter for Tuesday's game against the Tigers, MLB.com reports.
EDGE Analysis
Due to a pair of off days last week, the Indians were able to get by with a four-man rotation and skip Tomlin's turn in the pitching schedule. Tomlin wasn't needed out of the bullpen during that stretch, so he'll take the mound Tuesday on 10 days' rest. With a 8.06 ERA and 13 home runs surrendered in 25.2 innings this season, Tomlin makes for a shaky fantasy option even in a seemingly favorable matchup against a 17-22 Detroit team that the right-hander blanked for five innings back on April 10.

Tomlin (0-4) surrendered six runs in Sunday's loss to the Mariners. He allowed ten hits while striking out three over six innings.
EDGE Analysis
Tomlin allowed four consecutive hits in the second inning en route to a five-run frame that put the Indians in an early hole that they were unable to climb out of Sunday. Tomlin has now allowed 11 runs in his last two starts and could be in jeopardy of losing his spot in the rotation due to his ineffectiveness. As things stand, he's scheduled to take the mound Friday in a daunting matchup at Yankee Stadium.

Tomlin (0-3) allowed five runs on seven hits while striking out three over 3.2 innings during Tuesday's loss to the Cubs.
EDGE Analysis
Tomlin was plagued by the long ball Tuesday, serving up four solo homers during his abbreviated start. The 33-year-old also surrendered four home runs against the Angels on April 3 and now leads the majors with eight home runs allowed this season. Tomlin hasn't been fantasy relevant in years and continues to show signs of regression as he enters the twilight years of his career. With Danny Salazar (shoulder) still on the disabled list, Tomlin lines up for a start against the Mariners on Sunday.

Tomlin isn't listed as probable starter for any of the Indians' five games this week and is expected to work out of the bullpen until a fifth starter is needed April 24 against the Cubs.
EDGE Analysis
On the heels of two postponements over the weekend and team off days Monday and Thursday, the Cleveland pitching staff will be well rested this week, so manager Terry Francona appears content to use a four-man rotation for the short term. With Tomlin's turn through the rotation being skipped, ace Corey Kluber will pick up two starts this week -- Tuesday against the Twins in Puerto Rico and Sunday against the Orioles in Baltimore -- which should bolster Cleveland's chances of keeping pace with Minnesota for the top record in the division.

Tomlin will not start Wednesday against the Twins, contrary to previous reports, Nick Camino of Newsradio WTAM 1100 reports.
EDGE Analysis
There had been some confusion over how the Indians would line up their rotation after having two straight games postponed. It now appears that they'll reset the rotation to the top, with Corey Kluber started Tuesday and Carlos Carrasco starting Wednesday. It's not clear when Tomlin's next start will come. He could throw Sunday in Baltimore, though Kluber would be able to throw on four days' rest, so he could get skipped again.

Tomlin is listed as the Indians' probable starter for Wednesday's game against the Twins in Puerto Rico, MLB.com reports.
EDGE Analysis
Back-to-back postponements Saturday and Sunday resulted in Tomlin taking the mound this week. With the weather expected to be more favorable in Puerto Rico as the Indians take on the Twins in a two-game set, Tomlin should finally be able to start Wednesday, which will mark his first appearance in eight days.

Tomlin (0-1) was credited with a no-decision Tuesday against the Tigers after throwing 5.0 innings of shutout ball. He struck out three batters while allowing four hits and two walks
EDGE Analysis
It was a much smoother outing from Tomlin after he was shelled by the Angels in his first start of the season. Unfortunately, the Tribe's prolonged offensive slump to start the year continued Tuesday, which led to Tomlin getting just one run of support. Tomlin threw 59 of his 98 pitches for strikes and induced seven groundballs during his outing against the Tigers. He's lined up to next take the mound Sunday when the Indians wrap up their series with the Blue Jays.
