Thole is in the lineup against the Rays on Monday.
EDGE Analysis
This is a very interesting move, as Thole has historically received very few at-bats against left-handed pitchers such as Drew Smyly, the Rays' starter for Monday's game. However, this is likely just a day off for everyday catcher Russell Martin, so Thole will probably head back to the bench after today's start.

Thole re-signed with the Blue Jays on a one-year, $800,000 deal Friday, Ben Nicholson-Smith of Sportsnet reports.
EDGE Analysis
Thole had just been non-tendered by the Blue Jays on Thursday, but he's coming back to the team after being a free agent for just a day. The 29-year-old had a disappointing campaign last season, hitting just .204/.250/.245, but he should get the chance to earn the backup role behind Russell Martin out of spring training.

Thole had his contract go non-tendered by the Blue Jays.
EDGE Analysis
After a frustrating 2015 season for Thole, where he was brought back and forth between the minors and the majors a handful of times, the catcher will not be brought back by the Blue Jays. The 29-year-old will become a free agent in 2016, and he won't be anything more than a backup catcher wherever he ends up.

Thole has been recalled and is in the lineup Wednesday against the Indians.
EDGE Analysis
Thole will return to the Blue Jays after a brief stay at rookie-level Bluefield to catch R.A. Dickey, who is on the hill Wednesday. Thole will bat ninth in the order. He'll likely remain with the Blue Jays for the remainder of the season now that rosters have expanded.

Thole was optioned to rookie-level Bluefield after Friday's game.
EDGE Analysis
Thole could be back up to provide depth at catcher when rosters expand in September, but he would only be used sparingly as long as Russell Martin and Dioner Navarro are healthy.

Thole was optioned to Triple-A Buffalo after the first game of Tuesday's doubleheader against the Nationals, Sportsnet's Shi Davidi reports.
With Dioner Navarro (hamstring) ready to return from the disabled list, the Jays got one last start out of Thole, who went 2-for-4 in the first game of Tuesday's doubleheader. Thole doesn't figure to get another shot in the majors until September, unless Navarro or Russell Martin suffers an injury.

Thole went 3-for-4 with three runs scored and a RBI in Tuesday's 10-9 win over the White Sox.
Thole more than doubled his hit total (from two to five) for the season on Tuesday and was an integral piece of why the Jays won. He really only plays when R.A. Dickey is on the mound, something that dates back to their time on the Mets together. He's still only hitting .227 on the season and his lack of regular playing time gives him limited fantasy value.

Thole was recalled from Triple-A Buffalo on Thursday.
Dioner Navarro was placed on the 15-day DL on Thursday so the Blue Jays needed a backup catcher. Navarro is out with a strained hamstring, so he could require a few weeks to get right, but Thole won't see more than one or two starts per week while Russell Martin is healthy.

Thole will start his season with Triple-A Buffalo, John Lott of the National Post reports.
Russell Martin has apparently done a decent job of handling R.A. Dickey this spring, allowing the Blue Jays to stick with just two catchers on the Opening Day roster. Thole is only the third backstop in the organization, but the Jays could eventually decide to carry three catchers, if Martin struggles to handle Dickey.

Thole's chances of making the Opening Day roster are still up in the air as there have been conflicting reports as to whether or not he will make the team, John Lott of the National Post reports.
Thole has had a strong spring at the plate, hitting .310 in 17 games, but his status is very up-in-the-air due to the presence of both Dioneer Navarro and Russell Martin. Thole has been R.A. Dickey's personal catcher for the past two seasons, but throughout the spring, the Blue Jays have tried to get Martin more comfortable catching Dickey's knuckleball. This decision will likely come down to the wire and Thole's fantasy value is tied to whether or not he makes the team, though his meager hitting statistics and limited at-bats should hinder his value either way.
