Thole's chances of making the Opening Day roster are still up in the air as there have been conflicting reports as to whether or not he will make the team, John Lott of the National Post reports. Thole has had a strong spring at the plate, hitting .310 in 17 games, but his status is very up-in-the-air due to the presence of both Dioneer Navarro and Russell Martin. Thole has been R.A. Dickey's personal catcher for the past two seasons, but throughout the spring, the Blue Jays have tried to get Martin more comfortable catching Dickey's knuckleball. This decision will likely come down to the wire and Thole's fantasy value is tied to whether or not he makes the team, though his meager hitting statistics and limited at-bats should hinder his value either way.
