Lucroy (hamstring) participated in a minor league game Thursday (going 2 for 5), and reported no setbacks, the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel reports.
Lucroy is expected to catch a few innings in another minor league game Sunday, and if all goes well, could make his Cactus league debut as early as Monday. Lucroy ran the bases Thursday, and didn't have any problems, though he wasn't running 100 percent either. Assuming all goes well, he could be ready for Opening Day.

Lucroy (hamstring) could be playing in Cactus League games by the end of the week, MLB.com's Adam McCalvy reports.
Milwaukee's starting catcher seems to be making excellent progress in his recovery, and if he can be had a discount in drafts, owners should probably act on that opportunity. It is starting to sound more and more like Lucroy could be available for Opening Day, and a return to game action this week would do a lot to instill confidence in that sentiment.

Lucroy (hamstring) is progressing well and might start playing in games sooner than expected, Tom Haudricourt of the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel reports.
Lucroy was treated with a platelet-rich plasma injection after being diagnosed with a hamstring strain in February, and it seems the treatment has done wonders. It's uncertain when he may be cleared to resume running, but Lucroy appears on track to be ready for game action closer to the front end of his 4-to-6 week estimated recovery timetable. He's expected to receive some at-bats in spring games next week.

Lucroy (hamstring) is expected to receive some at-bats in minor league spring games next week, Greg Matzek of WTMJ Milwaukee reports.
Lucroy is making progress as he works his way back from a strained hamstring, but the Brewers will remain cautious with him, and he may not run next week even if he is able to take swings. Lucroy still has a few steps to complete in his recovery, but with over a month to go before the regular season kicks off, fantasy owners and Brewers fans should be optimistic about his chances of being ready for Opening Day.

Lucroy (hamstring) has been working out at Brewers camp since Sunday and has participated all week in baseball drills that did not involve running, MLB.com reports. After a recent MRI revealed a "mild strain" to Lucroy's hamstring, the team promptly ordered a platelet-rich plasma injection in hopes of speeding up his 4-to-6 week estimated recovery timetable. It seems the treatment has helped a good deal, as Lucroy reported significant improvement Friday. He said he plans to catch pitchers' bullpen sessions and take part in defensive drills, and added that he hopes to get at-bats in minor league spring training games. The 28-year-old will refrain from running until cleared by the training staff, but as of now, he appears on track to be ready for Opening Day.

Lucroy will miss 4-to-6 weeks due to a hamstring strain, the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel reports.Lucroy was expected to take a good chunk of reps at first base during spring training to prepare for a possible role at the position against left-handed pitching. It appears now that the injury could cost him nearly the entirety of spring training, which puts a halt to his first base project. The backstop hit .301/.373/.465 with 13 home runs and 69 RBI in 2014, but could start 2015 a bit slow as he knocks the rust off from an extended absence from the field.

Lucroy will spending more time getting reps at first base during spring training as an option to handle the position against left-handed starting pitchers, Tom Haudricourt of the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel reports.
The addition of Adam Lind provided a much-needed upgrade to the Brewers' first-base situation, but Lind's career splits against lefties dictate that he should be platooned. As a result, Lucroy could continue to see more playing time than most catchers, while receiving some rest from defensive responsibilities behind the plate. A few more games at first base would also open up more at-bats for backup catcher Martin Maldonado.
