Jay (wrist) remains out of the lineup Thursday against the Indians.
Jay will now miss his fourth straight game as a result of a sprained left wrist. Although it wasn't originally considered serious, the disabled list does remain a possibility, according to Derrick Goold of the St. Louis Post-Dispatch. Peter Bourjos will take over in center and bat atop the order Thursday afternoon.

Jay (wrist) is out of the lineup for Tuesday's game against the Indians.
Considered day-to-day, Jay may rejoin the lineup for Wednesday's game against the Indians. His injury doesn't seem to be too serious, as he was used as a pinch runner in Sunday's game against the Pirates.

Jay (wrist) is considered a game-time decision for Tuesday's game, Jenifer Langosch of MLB.com reports.
Jay was held out of the lineup with what was thought to be a sprained left thumb, but the team is now listing him as day-to-day with a sprained left wrist. It doesn't look to be anything serious, but he could miss another game or two in the short-term if his condition doesn't improve by Tuesday afternoon.

Jay is nursing a bruised left thumb, the St. Louis Post-Dispatch's Derrick Goold reports.
It's not clear when Jay might have suffered the injury, but he experienced enough soreness with the thumb that he needed to be switched out late in Saturday's game against the Pirates. Peter Bourjos started for him in center field Sunday and could see further run in the lineup if Jay's condition fails to improve within the next day or two.

Jay is out of the lineup Sunday against the Pirates.
Jay will take a seat in favor of Peter Bourjos in center field, who will lead off with Matt Carpenter currently dealing with "extreme fatigue." Jay typically gets a day off with a lefty on the mound, and Sunday will be no different with southpaw Jeff Locke scheduled to start for the Pirates.

Jay is out of the lineup for Friday's game against the Pirates.
While Jay hasn't been used as a strict platoon player this season, Friday marks the second time in three days that he'll sit against a lefty. Peter Bourjos is starting in center field and leading off.

Jay is out of the starting lineup Wednesday against the Cubs.
With lefty Jon Lester due up for Chicago, manager Mike Matheny has decided to sit Jay down and give Peter Bourjos a rare start in center field. Jay is just 4-for-22 (.182 average) against southpaws so far this season, but he currently has a .375 OBP against righties and it appears he will continue to lead off against right-handers for the foreseeable future.

Jay, who led off for the third time in his last three starts Friday night, went 2-for-5 with a run scored against the Pirates.
He scored the game-winning run on an RBI from Matt Adams in the 10th inning Friday. Jay appears to be the new leadoff hitter for the Cardinals while Matt Carpenter is now hitting second, and Jason Heyward has hit sixth in three of the past four contests.

Jay is not in the lineup Wednesday against the Phillies.
It's just the third off day for Jay this season, but the second in the last four games. After getting off to a slow start at the plate, Jay has collecting five hits in his last 10 at bats. Peter Bourjos will receive another start in center field and lead off in his stead.
