Gant (1-2) allowed three runs on seven hits over 5.2 innings in a loss against the Marlins on Wednesday. He also struck out five and walked none.
EDGE Analysis
He yielded all three of his runs during the second inning, but after that he really settled in, retiring 12 of the last 13 batters he faced. Gant has a 4.45 ERA and 1.38 WHIP in 10 appearances, but in three start, he owns a 3.24 ERA and has 10 strikeouts in 16.2 innings. His next start will be Monday against the Indians.

Gant will start Wednesday's game against the Marlins, Mark Bowman of MLB.com reports.
EDGE Analysis
Gant was supposed to pitch on Thursday, however the Braves staff decided to flip the schedule around in order to avoid Gant pitching consecutive starts against the Mets. Matt Wisler will now start Thursday, while Gant will face the Marlins on Wednesday.

Gant (1-1) allowed one run on two hits and two walks while striking out five over 6.2 innings to earn the win Friday at the Mets.
EDGE Analysis
Gant gave up his run in the first inning, but settled down after that while the Braves provided him with plenty of run support to get him his first win of the year. In his second start since moving from the bullpen, he was able to post a quality start, and his ERA is at 4.37 on the year. He'll make his next start Thursday against the Mets.

Gant (0-1) lasted 4.1 innings in Sunday's loss to the Cubs, giving up three runs (two earned) on four hits and four walks while striking out five.
EDGE Analysis
He was far from the Braves' worst pitcher in what turned into a 13-2 rout, but Gant certainly didn't pitch well enough to guarantee he'll get another start. If Atlanta does stick with him, however, his next turn in the rotation will come Friday on the road against the Mets.

Gant will start Sunday against the Cubs, Kevin McAlpin of 680 The Fan reports.
EDGE Analysis
The Braves made some adjustments to their rotation Saturday, plugging Gant into the rotation and pushing Aaron Blair back to Monday. Gant hasn't started at the big league level this season, but he did work a 3.14 ERA in seven starts at Triple-A Gwinnett earlier in the season.

Gant was recalled by the Braves on Wednesday.
EDGE Analysis
Gant has been shuttled between Triple-A and the Braves several times over the past week and he will now rejoin the big league club after pitcher Williams Perez landed on the DL with a rotator cuff strain. The 23-year-old Gant has worked primarily as a starter at the Triple-A level this season, but he's only been used as a reliever in seven appearances with the Braves. Depending on the Braves' needs in the rotation, Gant could be used as a spot starter, but he'll likely be used more as a long reliever.

Gant has been demoted to Triple-A Gwinnett, Mark Bowman of MLB.com reports.
EDGE Analysis
Gant was merely up to serve as bullpen depth while the Braves waited to call up the replacement for injured starter Mike Foltynewicz. He was rewarded with the call up for his excellent work thus far in Triple-A (48 strikeouts, 13 walks, 3.14 ERA in 43 innings), but Atlanta will go with Casey Kelly in their rotation instead.

Gant was recalled from Triple-A Gwinnett on Saturday.
EDGE Analysis
Gant will come up as the replacement for Mike Foltynewicz, who hit the DL on Friday night. The right-hander has made five appearances for Atlanta in 2015, allowing 11 hits and seven earned runs over 9.0 innings. He's found more success at the Triple-A level, where he holds a 3.14 ERA in eight appearances (seven starts, 43.0 innings).

Gant was optioned to Triple-A Gwinnett on Friday, David O'Brien of the Atlanta Journal-Constitution reports.
EDGE Analysis
The 23-year-old needed 38 pitches to record four outs Thursday -- he was charged with two runs (one earned) on two hits and a walk while striking out one batter. Joel De La Cruz was brought up to replace Gant on Friday, providing Atlanta with a fresh arm, but Gant figures to get another opportunity before too long.
