John Danks (oblique) felt good during a throwing session Friday.
It's not clear if it was catch, long-toss or a bullpen session, but regardless, the signs have been positive since he was placed on the DL earlier this week. Danks will be eligible for activation just after the All-Star break, but it will probably be at least another week or so before we know if he'll be ready then.

White Sox placed LHP John Danks on the 15-day disabled list with a strained right oblique.
It's the first time in his career that he's required a trip to the DL. Danks left Saturday's start after just 1 2/3 innings with the injury and although he felt a little better Sunday, he remained very sore. He's expected to undergo an MRI Monday, at which point we'll have better idea how long he might be sidelined. Typically, though, oblique strains require a minimum of three weeks on the DL. The White Sox will go back to a five-man rotation with Danks out.

Though he said he was feeling better, John Danks (oblique) admitted Sunday that he was still very sore.
Danks is likely to have an MRI Monday and the likelihood is that he'll require a trip to the disabled list. He's never been on the DL in his professional career. It's unfortunate timing, as the left-hander was finally finding his groove in June with a 1.14 ERA.

John Danks was removed from Saturday's game against the Nationals with a strained right oblique.
For pitchers, strained obliques almost always lead to stints on the disabled list, but it's too early to tell with Danks. He was able to make it through seven innings last week despite taking a line drive to the head and has a great reputation for toughness. The left-hander has a 4.21 ERA in 94 innings this season.

John Danks was removed from Saturday's game with a hip flexor injury.
Head trainer Herman Schneider insisted that Danks be taken out of the game after a visit to the mound. He was removed after only getting through one inning. Brian Bruney came out of the bullpen to replace him.

A CT scan on the back of John Danks' head came back negative.
Danke was hit in the head on a line drive by Stephen Drew in the fourth inning of Saturday's, but he was able to stay in the game and seemed fine. He's good to go for his next start, which will come next week against the Nationals.

John Danks will undergo a precautionary CT scan.
Danks was hit in the side of the head on a line drive by Stephen Drew in the fourth inning of Saturday's victory over the Diamondbacks. He shook it off and was able to stay in the game for seven innings, but the White Sox are going to cover all their bases and run a range of tests.
