White Sox activated LHP John Danks from the 15-day disabled list.
As expected, Danks will make the start Wednesday night against the Royals. He returns from an oblique injury with a 3-8 record and 4.21 ERA over 15 starts this season. The 26-year-old southpaw is a good buy low option for the second half.

Though the White Sox haven't officially announced the decision, John Danks (oblique) is expected to rejoin the rotation Thursday in Kansas City.
Danks tossed six scoreless innings in a rehab start for Triple-A Charlotte Friday and appears to be over his oblique malady. "Judging how I was throwing last night, I felt like I was throwing like I was before I got hurt,'' said Danks. "It's a good sign. We're going to get all the work in that we normally do and treat it like a normal start. I don't anticipate having any rest. I feel like I can get back to where I was."

John Danks (oblique) is scheduled to make his second minor league rehab start Friday night with Triple-A Charlotte.
Danks allowed two runs on four hits over three innings Sunday in his first rehab start. Assuming all goes well, he'll rejoin the White Sox starting rotation next Wednesday against the Royals.

John Danks (oblique) allowed two runs on four hits and a walk while striking out two over three innings in a rehab start Sunday with Triple-A Charlotte.
He surrendered a pair of solo home runs. Danks might not have had ideal results, but he said after the game that he didn't feel any discomfort in his oblique, which is obviously very encouraging. "I let it loose a few times," he said. "I feel I'm over that mental hurdle." Danks is scheduled to make one more rehab start before rejoining the rotation on July 20 against the Royals.

John Danks (oblique) will make his first minor league rehab start Sunday with Triple-A Charlotte.
We already knew he was starting on Sunday, but now the location is confirmed. Danks is slated to make at least two starts in the minor leagues before rejoining the White Sox, which puts him on track to start July 20 against the Royals.

John Danks (oblique) plans to throw a bullpen session "within the next couple of days."
Danks still has to make it through the bullpen session without a hitch, but he hopes to make a minor league rehab start during the All-Star break. "In a perfect world, I'd do it over the break," said Danks. "Then I'd be ready to come back the first time through the rotation. It's all dependent on how I feel obviously, but that's the goal right now." Danks had a 4.21 ERA over 15 starts prior to injuring his right oblique.

John Danks (oblique) had another successful session of catch Saturday.
Danks threw without any pain Friday, as well. He'll play catch again Sunday, and if that goes well, he'll likely be cleared to throw from a mound. Assuming he doesn't have any setbacks along the way, we could see him rejoin the White Sox shortly after the All-Star break.

John Danks (oblique) threw from 90 feet Friday without any pain.
Good news. Danks plans to play catch again Saturday and could throw off a mound as soon as next week. Oblique injuries can be tricky, but it sounds like he could be ready shortly after the All-Star break.
