Jeremy Hellickson allowed three runs in 5 1/3 innings and struck out seven in a no-decision against the Red Sox on Thursday. Hellickson allowed just four hits, but two of them were home run balls, which has been a big problem for him all season long. It was still a pretty solid showing against an excellent offense. The Rays have won both of his starts since he came back up from the minors.

Jeremy Hellickson scattered four hits over 5 1/3 shutout innings to beat the Angels on Wednesday. Another night, another successful returning starter for the Rays. On Tuesday, Matt Moore gave up no earned runs coming off a month-long layoff. One day later, Hellickson returned from his brief sabbatical to Montgomery and did the same. Hellickson had formerly been serving biscuits, as opposed to being rostered by the Biscuits, posting a 9.15 ERA over 20 2/3 innings in August. Boston's lineup on Tuesday should provide us with a good barometer to gauge whether or not the Hellickson of old is back.

Rays recalled RHP Jeremy Hellickson from Double-A Montgomery. Hellickson will start Wednesday against the Angels. He was optioned last week after posting a 9.15 ERA over 20 2/3 innings in August, but the Rays are hoping that the demotion will get him back on track.

Jeremy Hellickson could rejoin the Rays' rotation on Wednesday. It will likely either be him or Roberto Hernandez, with an outside shot at a bullpen start. Hellickson was sent down last week after posting a 9.15 ERA over 20 2/3 innings in August, but the Rays are hoping he'll feel recharged after getting some extra rest.

The Rays transferred Jeremy Hellickson to Double-A Montgomery on Sunday, allowing him to be recalled when the Biscuits' season ends on Tuesday. Hellickson was demoted to figure things out after posting a 9.15 ERA over 20 2/3 innings in August. When he does return, it's unclear whether that will be in the rotation or in the Rays' bullpen.

Rays optioned RHP Jeremy Hellickson to High-A Charlotte. Hellickson had a 9.15 ERA in 20 2/3 innings in August and the Rays could no longer afford to keep him in their rotation. The 26-year-old right-hander should be brought back up (though maybe not as a starter) in September.

Jeremy Hellickson may be skipped on his next turn through the Rays' starting rotation. Hellickson is not hurt, but he has a hideous 9.15 ERA in 20 2/3 innings this month and the Rays think extra rest might do him some good. The 26-year-old right-hander can no longer be trusted in standard mixed leagues.

Jeremy Hellickson allowed four runs in just 4 1/3 innings in a loss to the Orioles on Wednesday. Somewhere along the line Hellickson managed to win 10 games, but his last -- and the last time he's bore a resemblance to that pitcher -- came on July 26. On Wednesday he allowed seven hits, including two home runs, and three walks while failing to last five innings for the fourth time in his last five starts. It's impossible to advocate owning Hellickson in mixed leagues while he's going like this. He'll look to get on track against the Angels on Tuesday.

Jeremy Hellickson turned in a quality start in a no-decision against the Blue Jays on Friday, allowing three runs on nine hits over his six frames. Hellickson walked one and struck out three on the evening. The Jays got to him for RBI singles in the first, fifth and sixth innings, but Hellickson was able to pitch around any further damage. He's now win-less in his last four starts, posting an 8.00 ERA in the process. He'll look to right the ship when he does battle against the Orioles in Baltimore on Wednesday.
