Jeremy Hellickson (elbow) will make another rehab start with Triple-A Durham on Sunday. Hellickson got touched up for seven runs -- four earned -- on 12 hits over just 2 2/3 innings in his last rehab outing, insuring that he'd make another start in the minors. It's possible he'll be up with the Rays next week if Sunday's outing goes well.

Jeremy Hellickson (elbow) was lit up for seven runs -- four earned -- on 12 hits over just 2 2/3 innings in a rehab start with Triple-A Durham Tuesday. Yikes. Hellickson has now given up 11 runs -- eight earned -- on 18 hits over his last five rehab innings. The Rays had left open the possibility of the righty rejoining the rotation after Tuesday's outing, but he'll almost surely make at least one more rehab start now.

Jeremy Hellickson (elbow) allowed four runs on six hits over just 2 1/3 innings in his second rehab start with Triple-A Durham Thursday. Hellickson got his pitch count up to 55. The right-hander is expected to make one more rehab start before rejoining the Rays rotation on June 27, though the club would no doubt like to see some better results first. He did toss three scoreless frames in his first rehab outing.

Jeremy Hellickson (elbow) tossed three scoreless innings in his rehab debut Saturday with High-A Charlotte. The plan, tentatively, is for Hellickson to make two more rehab starts and then rejoin the Rays' rotation on June 27 for a doubleheader against the Orioles. The 27-year-old right-hander is on his way back from February elbow surgery. He may be worth stashing in some deeper mixed fantasy leagues now that he's healthy and enjoying promising results in the minors.

No word on what the next step might be, but the Rays could clear him to begin a minor league rehab assignment. Jeremy Hellickson (elbow) threw two innings in a simulated game on Tuesday. Rays manager Joe Maddon said the session went well. Hellickson was hitting 90 mph with his fastball and was throwing his curve as well. He's still on the comeback trail after offseason elbow surgery.
