Eickhoff (1-3) allowed seven runs on nine hits while striking out seven over 5.1 innings to take the loss Sunday at the Brewers.
EDGE Analysis
Eickhoff had a two-run lead before a disastrous sixth inning in which he allowed five of the six Brewers runs to score, leading to a Phillies loss. Before this start, he hadn't allowed more than two runs in any of his first three outings, but despite his struggles in this one, he still owns a 4.07 ERA to go along with a 1.15 WHIP. He'll make his next start Saturday against the Indians.

EDGE Analysis
Eickhoff has been a force this season, allowing just four earned runs in 19 innings across three starts. The 25-year-old registered a 2.65 ERA in eight starts in the Major Leagues last season and has managed to put up even better numbers thus far this year. Eickhoff carries a 1.89 ERA into his next start this Sunday against the Brewers.

Eickhoff pitched seven shutout innings, allowing just four hits while striking out nine and walking none in a victory against the Padres on Wednesday.
EDGE Analysis
The 25-year-old has shown great promise in his short big league career. In his final four starts last September, Eickhoff went 3-1 with a 0.96 ERA and .170 batting average against. He also struck out a combined 20 batters and walked only two in his last two outings last year. Through two starts this season, Eickhoff has 6.0 K/BB ratio.

Eickhoff will make his first start of the season Friday against the Mets, Ryan Lawrence of The Philly Voice reports.
EDGE Analysis
Eickhoff got off to a late start in camp with a fractured right thumb, but managed to build up enough innings to still be ready for the start of the season. He was 3-3 with a 2.65 ERA and a 49:13 K:BB in 51 innings last season.

Manager Pete Mackanin said Eickhoff's spot in the Phillies' rotation is safe despite his poor outing Sunday, Jim Salisbury of CSN Philadelphia reports.
EDGE Analysis
Eickhoff struggled to locate with his fastball Sunday against the Red Sox and allowed five runs on 11 hits over five innings. He struck out three and walked none. He is likely a bit rusty after being limited for most of camp with a fractured right thumb. He could pitch twice more before he makes his first start during the regular season.

Eickhoff (thumb) is on course to pitch during the first week of the season after making his Grapefruit League debut Tuesday, MLB.com's Todd Zolecki reports.
EDGE Analysis
He allowed four hits, three runs and two walks while striking out seven in four innings Tuesday in a split squad game against the Twins. Eickhoff got a half dozen whiffs on his changeup Tuesday, which is encouraging as he already showed last year that his slider is elite, getting whiffs more than a quarter of the time off that pitch in 2015. Look for Eickhoff to line up as the Phillies' fourth or fifth starter to start the season, but he offers much more fantasy upside than the likes of Jeremy Hellickson and Charlie Morton, who will likely slot in ahead of him in the first week of the season.

EDGE Analysis

Eickhoff is expected to make his Grapefruit League debut Thursday, Ryan Lawrence of The Philly Voice reports.
EDGE Analysis
Eickhoff pitched in a minor league game over the weekend, putting him on track for Thursday's Grapefruit League contest. He should still have enough time to stretch out his arm before the start of the season, but it is possible he'll have a pitch limit for his first turn or two through the rotation. Phillies manager Pete Mackanin said this offseason that Eickhoff will open the year in the starting rotation.

Eickhoff (thumb) is likely to make his Grapefruit League debut next week after throwing in a minor league game on Saturday, Ryan Lawrence of The Philly Voice reports.
EDGE Analysis
The 25-year-old is on track for the start of the season and is expected to pitch three innings in a minor league game on Saturday after suffering a small fracture on his right thumb in February. During the offseason, manager Pete Mackanin said that Eickhoff will open the season in the Phillies' starting rotation after his success during the eight games he started for the team in 2015.
