Eickhoff (ankle) was able to walk normally and do his usual day-after-start running routine on Friday, Corey Seidman of CSN Philadelphia reports.
EDGE Analysis
Eickhoff was hit on the left ankle by a line drive in his last start. He is on track to make his next scheduled start Tuesday against the Cubs.

Eickhoff had an X-ray on his foot following Thursday's start, but he is expected to make his next scheduled start, Ryan Lawrence of The Philly Voice reports. "It's going to be a little swollen, I think, tomorrow. But I can walk on it fine. It feels OK to move around so I think it will be alright," said Eickhoff after Thursday's loss to the Brewers.
EDGE Analysis
Eickhoff took a comebacker off the inside of his ankle during Thursday's start and had to be replaced by David Hernandez in the seventh inning, but he appears to have dodged anything serious. At this point, Eickhoff should be able to make his next scheduled start Tuesday against the Cubs.

Eickhoff (2-8)threw 6.2 innings during Thursday's loss against the Brewers, in which he only allowed two runs on eight hits and a walk while striking out four.
EDGE Analysis
The two runs allowed represent the first time Eickhoff has permitted less than three runs since April 18 against the Mets, and he pitched a strong game despite the loss. He's never going to miss too many bats, but he seems to be on the right track: he posted a 4.15 ERA on April, and he lowered it down to a 3.99 mark during May. His next scheduled start will come against the Cubs on Tuesday.

Eickhoff (2-7) surrendered eight hits, four earned runs and a walk over six innings in Saturday's 4-1 loss to the Cubs. He struck out seven.
EDGE Analysis
As has been the case on more than one occasion this season, Eickhoff didn't necessarily pitch himself out of a win, although he did find himself in an early mess. He allowed a 379-foot homer to Dexter Fowler to start the game, and then gave up an RBI double to Ben Zobrist later in the opening frame. Jason Heyward then got to Eickhoff in the second, blasting an RBI double to deep left center. The 25-year-old was reasonably effective otherwise, and induced 12 swinging strikes on the afternoon. However, he once again received nominal run support, a running theme in several of his losses this season. He'll try to get back on the winning side of the ledger versus the Brewers on Thursday.

Eickhoff tossed seven scoreless innings Sunday against the Braves to pick up his second win of the season. He allowed five hits, struck out three and walked one.
EDGE Analysis
Eickhoff had good command of his fastball Sunday and needed only 85 pitches to complete his seven shutout innings. It was a major improvement over his last start against Atlanta where he was bounced from the game after allowing 4 runs in 4.1 innings. Eickhoff will make his next start in Chicago against the Cubs.

Eickhoff threw 21 sliders against the Marlins on Monday and said he will use the pitch more moving forward, Corey Seidman of CSN Philadelphia reports. "From now on, the slider is a big pitch for me," Eickhoff said. "If I can throw that [slider] in between my fastball and my curveball, that speed difference is going to be huge."
EDGE Analysis
Eickhoff has primarily relied on his dominant curveball and a fastball to this point, but hitters have adjusted. Mixing in an effective third pitch is critical for his long term success. His slider, which averages 83 mph, will give hitters another offspeed pitch to consider rather than being able to sit on his mid-70s mph curveball.

Eickhoff (1-6) was a loser once again on Monday, allowing three runs in six innings against the Marlins. He allowed six hits and walked two while striking out four.
EDGE Analysis
Eickhoff hasn't allowed more than three earned runs in any of his last four starts, and yet has an 0-3 record to show for it. The luck should change for the righty at some point, especially if he continues his impressive 4:1 K/BB ratio. Eickhoff's next start will come Sunday against the Braves.

Eickhoff (1-5) gave up four runs (three earned) over just 4.1 innings in Wednesday's loss to the Braves. He allowed seven hits, struck out two and walked one.
EDGE Analysis
A friendly matchup against a horrible Braves offense didn't help Eickhoff reverse his losing ways, as he's been one of the black marks on the Phillies' surprisingly strong start to the season. His team simply doesn't have enough offense to win if he allows three or more runs, which puts a lot of pressure on Eickhoff and the other Philadelphia starters every time out. He's also not fooling hitters like he was early on -- Eickhoff struck out 25 batters over a three-start stretch in April, but has only eight strikeouts over three starts since then.

Eickhoff turned in a quality start Thursday against St. Louis, but was saddled with the loss to fall to 1-4 on the season. He gave up three runs on six hits and two walks while striking out two over six innings.
EDGE Analysis
The right-hander was outdueled by lefty Jaime Garcia, and the two strikeouts marked a season low for Eickhoff, but it was another strong showing overall from the 25-year-old. The peripherals suggest Eickhoff has pitched far better this season than his ERA and record would indicate -- coming into Thursday's outing, Eickhoff's FIP was more than a full run lower than his ERA at 2.84 (a top-25 mark among starting pitchers). He lines up to face the Braves in Atlanta next week.

Eickhoff allowed three runs on six hits over six innings Saturday. He struck out four and did not walk a batter.
EDGE Analysis
Eickhoff was touched up for seven runs in his last start, so Saturday was a step in the right direction. He is now 1-3 with a 4.15 ERA and a 32:5 K:BB in 30.1 innings. He will face the Cardinals at home in his next start.
