Hoffman was optioned to Triple-A Albuquerque on Wednesday, Nick Groke of The Athletic Denver reports.
EDGE Analysis
Hoffman made five appearances for the Rockies after being called up June 8, but he was tagged for six earned runs over 5.1 innings -- to be fair, five ER came in one game -- so the team decided to send him down to open up room for returning relievers Mike Dunn and Scott Oberg. Hoffman figures to be back with the Rockies at some point this summer.

Hoffman was called up from Triple-A Albuquerque on Friday.
EDGE Analysis
Mike Dunn was placed on the disabled list with a left rhomboid strain, and Hoffman was promoted as a corresponding move. He has not pitched since June 1, so he will be available out of the bullpen this weekend against the Diamondbacks. Hoffman has a 4.29 ERA, 1.49 WHIP and 61:25 K:BB in 50.1 innings (10 starts) in the Pacific Coast League.

Hoffman was activated from the disabled list and optioned to Triple-A Albuquerque on Saturday.
EDGE Analysis
Hoffman has been dealing with shoulder soreness since early March. He was already pitching for Albuquerque on a rehab assignment but now he'll continue to do so as a normal member of the team. The 25-year-old has thrown 130.2 career big-league innings with a 5.65 ERA.

The Rockies have reversed Hoffman's (shoulder) activation from the disabled list and subsequent optioning to Triple-A Albuquerque, Thomas Harding of MLB.com reports.
EDGE Analysis
Following Sunday's unique roster move, Hoffman will now remain on the 10-day disabled list and will continue making rehab starts with Triple-A Albuquerque. It's unclear how many more rehab appearances he'll need before returning from the DL.

Hoffman (shoulder) was reinstated from the 10-day DL and optioned to Triple-A Albuquerque on Friday.
EDGE Analysis
Hoffman will remain with Albuquerque after throwing four innings with the Triple-A club during his latest rehab outing against Tacoma on Thursday. The right-hander is finally back to full health after dealing with shoulder soreness over the past six weeks. Hoffman will serve as organizational depth for Colorado moving forward, as he's likely the first man up in the event a regular in the rotation goes down with an injury.

Hoffman (shoulder) covered three innings in his rehab start Tuesday for High-A Lancaster, surrendering two runs on five hits and no walks while striking out two.
EDGE Analysis
Hoffman tossed 44 pitches in the outing and will likely need to build up to the 75-to-100 range before the Rockies are comfortable activating him from the 10-day disabled list. It will probably take him another two or three starts to get to that level, so don't expect the right-hander to be ready to go until later in the month. Unless the Colorado rotation is hit by further injury in the next couple of weeks or one of its members suffers a dramatic downturn in performance, it's likely that Hoffman will be optioned to Triple-A Albuquerque once activated.

Hoffman (shoulder) will begin a rehab assignment with High-A Lancaster on Tuesday, Thomas Harding of MLB.com reports.
EDGE Analysis
The right-hander has been out since early March with this injury, but it seems like he's progressing nicely in his rehab program. Given his absence, Hoffman will likely require a few starts in the minors in order to build back up to a starter's workload. After that, he'll push for a major-league rotation spot.

Hoffman (shoulder) will throw a simulated game Friday at the Rockies' facilities in Arizona, Thomas Harding of MLB.com reports.
EDGE Analysis
Hoffman was scratched from a start during spring training back on March 4, but it seems like he's nearing a return to game action. If all goes well in Friday's session, the pitching prospect is expected to embark on a rehab assignment with High-A Lancaster. He'll likely need a couple rehab starts in order to build back up to a starter's workload.

Hoffman (shoulder) was placed on the 10-day disabled list Thursday.
EDGE Analysis
This is not surprising, as he has been dealing with shoulder soreness since early March. There is no firm timetable for Hoffman's return, so consider him out indefinitely for now.

Hoffman (shoulder) is expected to begin the season on the disabled list, Thomas Harding of MLB.com reports.
EDGE Analysis
The pitching prospect has been out of commission since early March due to shoulder soreness. Since he's not expected to return to some form of game action until sometime in April, it makes a lot of sense for the team to simply open up his roster spot to begin the year. With Hoffman starting the season on the disabled list, Kyle Freeland will grab the fifth starter role while Antonio Senzatela begins the season as a long reliever in the big leagues.
