Taillon (4-2) pitched 6.1 scoreless innings with four strikeouts during Thursday's win over Tampa Bay.
EDGE Analysis
Taillon was in cruise control for most of the night while pitching around nine baserunners (seven hits and two walks). He's allowed two runs or fewer in seven of 10 starts this season and sports a solid 2.97 ERA, 1.35 WHIP and 7.8 K/9. A road start against the Phillies is up next for the emerging 25-year-old righty.

Taillon allowed two runs on four hits and two walks while striking out seven over six innings Friday but didn't factor into the decision in a 4-3 win over the Cardinals.
EDGE Analysis
It's the 25-year-old's third quality start of the season and first since returning from the DL on June 12. Taillon now has a sharp 3.33 ERA and 46:18 K:BB in 51.1 innings and will look to build on those numbers Thursday at home against the Rays.

Taillon (3-2) allowed four runs on eight hits and a walk while striking out four batters through five innings during Sunday's loss to the Cubs.
EDGE Analysis
Chicago got it rolling at the dish Sunday, and Taillon didn't have an answer. It was just his second start since missing over a month of action, so spinning a mediocre outing against a capable lineup isn't a cause for concern at this point. Taillon owns a rock-solid 3.38 ERA, 1.20 WHIP and 7.5 K/9 through 26 career starts and projects to remain a middle-of-the-rotation fantasy option going forward. A road date with the Cardinals at Busch Stadium is up next for the 25-year-old righty.

Taillon (3-1) pitched five scoreless innings with five strikeouts during Monday's win over Colorado.
EDGE Analysis
Taillon's curveball was especially sharp in this outing, and the 25-year-old righty now sports a 2.90 ERA, 1.34 WHIP and 7.8 K/9 through his seven starts this year. Considering the current fantasy landscape of the pitcher position, Taillon is on the fast track to being a rare set-and-forget option -- if he isn't already. He projects to make his next start against the Cubs at PNC Park this weekend.

Taillon was activated from the disabled list and will start Monday's game against the Rockies.
EDGE Analysis
As expected, Taillon is back with the big club to make his first start since undergoing surgery for testicular cancer around five weeks ago. The 25-year-old, who owns a 3.31 ERA through six starts this season, will face-off against Kyle Freeland and the Rockies in his first game back. Phil Gosselin was optioned to Triple-A in a corresponding roster move.

Taillon (groin) will pitch Monday's game against the Rockies, Stephen J. Nesbitt of the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette reports.
EDGE Analysis
Taillon's start Monday marks the first appearance for the right-hander since May 3 after undergoing surgery for testicular cancer about five weeks ago. He threw six innings of work with Triple-A Indianapolis on Wednesday in his final rehab start, allowing five runs but striking out nine and hitting 97 on the radar gun. Tyler Glasnow is headed to Indianapolis and Taillon is set to take his place in the rotation moving forward.

Manager Clint Hurdle said Taillon (groin) is expected to rejoin the starting rotation early next week, Stephen J. Nesbitt of the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette reports.
EDGE Analysis
Taillon was able to toss six innings with Triple-A Indianapolis on Wednesday in his final rehab game before rejoining the Pirates. Although he allowed five runs, he struck out nine batters and was able to run his pitch count up to 97, clearing the way for his return. It's unclear who he will replace in the rotation at this point, though Trevor Williams, Tyler Glasnow and Chad Kuhl are all options to get bumped.

Taillon (groin) will take the hill for another rehab start at Triple-A Indianapolis on Wednesday, Adam Berry of MLB.com reports.
EDGE Analysis
The Pirates plan on having Taillon stretch out to 85-to-90 pitches in what will be his third rehab outing since returning from testicular cancer in May. Given the scheduled pitch count, it stands to reason that this could be his last outing before returning to the Pirates rotation provided that everything goes smoothly. Taillon has been sharp thus far in his rehab, notching 12 strikeouts over a total of 8.0 scoreless innings.

Taillon (groin) allowed one earned run and recorded six strikeouts over five innings in a rehab start with Triple-A Indianapolis on Friday.
EDGE Analysis
Taillon looked impressive in his second rehab appearances after tossing three shutout innings with Double-A Altoona earlier this week, indicating a return to the Pittsburgh rotation could be imminent. The right-hander has been making positive progressions after undergoing surgery for testicular cancer last month and shown little rust while facing live hitters. The team may wish for him to continue building up his arm strength after throwing just 68 pitches Friday, but a firm decision should be made available soon.

Taillon (groin) will make a rehab start with Triple-A Indianapolis on Friday, Adam Berry of MLB.com reports.
EDGE Analysis
After a dominant showing against Double-A hitters last weekend (three scoreless innings, six strikeouts), Taillon is set to advance to the top minor-league affiliate for his next rehab outing. It's uncertain if the assignment to Indy will be a one-start deal or if Taillon will need to build his pitch count up a bit more after Friday, but regardless, a return to the big-league rotation appears to be on the horizon. Taillon underwent a surgical procedure in earlier in May to treat testicular cancer.
