Odorizzi (5-8) gave up two runs (one earned) on five hits in a loss to the A's on Friday, recording four strikeouts and one walk in seven innings.
EDGE Analysis
Odorizzi kept the Twins in the game with a quality start but was outmatched by Sean Manaea and the A's bullpen. This was the first time in 27 starts this year that Odorizzi has pitched through the seventh inning, and it's the first loss he's taken in his last five starts. The right-hander has a 4.38 ERA, 1.36 WHIP and a 140:54 K:BB in 137.2 innings. He will take on the Indians in Cleveland for his next start.

Odorizzi allowed four runs on four hits and two walks across five innings in a no-decision Sunday against the Tigers. He struck out seven.
EDGE Analysis
Odorizzi pitched quite well to start the game, allowing just one run on three hits over the first five innings. He ran into trouble in the sixth, when he allowed the first three men to reach and watched as they each came around to score against the bullpen. Odorizzi didn't pitch particularly well, throwing 60 percent of his pitches for strikes and generating just three groundball outs as he failed to pitch six full innings for the fifth straight start. He has recorded 16 strikeouts over 10.2 innings in his last two outings, however, and will look to continue that trend in his next scheduled start against the Athletics.

Odorizzi (5-7) struck out nine and walked two in a win over the Pirates on Tuesday, allowing two runs on four hits in 5.2 innings.
EDGE Analysis
Odorizzi surrendered just one extra-base hit on the evening but needed 102 pitches (67 for strikes) to get through 5.2 innings. The right-hander struck out nine for the second time this year (his season high is 10) and is now sporting a 129:51 K:BB in 125.2 innings. Odorizzi carries a 4.44 ERA and 1.39 WHIP into his next start against the Tigers at home.

Odorizzi didn't factor into the decision in Friday's 6-4 win over the Royals, allowing two runs on four hits over 3.1 innings while striking out two.
EDGE Analysis
The right-hander threw 75 pitches (49 strikes) and left the game with a 3-2 lead, but he got denied a chance for his fifth win of the season by a 91-minutes rain delay in the top of the fourth inning. Odorizzi will take a 4.60 ERA into his next start Wednesday in Cleveland.

Odorizzi allowed two runs (one earned) on two hits and one walk across six innings in a no-decision Sunday against the Royals. He struck out eight.
EDGE Analysis
Odorizzi limited baserunners to great effect in this one and was only scored upon as an error and a walk proceeded a two-run double from Alex Gordon in the fifth inning. He threw a solid 67 percent of his pitches for strikes, including 22 swinging strikes as he tied his third-best strikeout total of the season. Odorizzi was roughed up in his previous start, but he's allowed two runs or fewer in four of his last five to bring his ERA to a still disappointing 4.37 for the year. He'll look to improve that figure this weekend against the Red Sox.

Odorizzi didn't factor into the decision in Friday's 11-8 win over the Rays after getting tagged with six runs (five earned) on eight hits and a walk over 4.1 innings while striking out three.
EDGE Analysis
Things didn't go well for the right-hander in his first career start against his former club, but the Twins' offense was able to keep Odorizzi from taking his seventh loss of the year. He'll carry a 4.54 ERA into the All-Star break.

Odorizzi (4-6) allowed five hits and one walk while striking out five across six innings to earn the win Sunday against the Orioles.
EDGE Analysis
Odorizzi was effective Sunday, highlighted by surrendering no home runs and handing out only one free pass. He now has two scoreless outings in his last three starts, and while both of those starts have come against weak lineups -- the White Sox and Orioles -- Odorizzi is making up for a rough stretch in late May and June during which he allowed 22 earned runs in 20.1 innings. That stretch inflated his ratio stats, but he has gone at least five innings without surrendering more than two earned runs in 10 of his 19 starts this season.

Odorizzi (3-6) took the loss against the Brewers on Tuesday, allowing two runs on four hits across five innings. He recorded nine strikeouts and issued four walks.
EDGE Analysis
Eric Thames brought home the only two runs of the game with a two-run blast during the fifth inning, saddling Odorizzi with the loss as the Twins bats remained dormant. The right-hander pitched well but again struggled with control with the four free passes and throwing 109 pitches, and has now issued 16 walks over his last 21.2 innings. The 28-year-old has a 4.57 ERA and 1.44 WHIP in 18 starts this season, and is slated for a quality matchup against the Orioles on Sunday.

Odorizzi threw six shutout innings Thursday, allowing just three hits and three walks in a 2-1 win over the White Sox. He struck out eight batters in the no-decision.
EDGE Analysis
After not making it out of the second inning in his last outing, this was a much-needed turnaround for Odorizzi. Minnesota couldn't get the bats going, providing just one run before heading to extras. The 28-year-old right-hander lowered his season ERA to 4.62 in 85.2 innings with 88 strikeouts and 39 walks. He'll take the mound next Tuesday in Milwaukee.

Odorizzi fell to 3-5 on the season with a poor performance Saturday against the Rangers. He lasted just 1.2 innings and allowed six runs on six hits and a walk, striking out three.
EDGE Analysis
Odorizzi started strong, retiring the side in order in the first inning, but the wheels came off in the second. He faced ten batters in the frame but couldn't get three outs and was pulled in favor of Matt Magill after allowing six runs. He's now allowed 22 earned runs in 20.1 innings over his last five starts, dropping his season ERA to a disappointing 4.97. The righty will try to get back on track Thursday against the White Sox.
