Odorizzi threw five innings in a no-decision against the Angels on Monday, giving up three hits and no earned runs. He struck out six and walked two as the Twins eventually prevailed, 3-1.
EDGE Analysis
Odorizzi was solid once again in this contest, but he would settle for a no-decision as Taylor Rogers ended up getting tagged with a blown save after relinquishing a 1-0 lead. The right-hander is still off to an excellent start to the season, as he now sports a 2.38 ERA and a 1.06 WHIP through 53 innings. He's lined up to take on the White Sox in his next start in a home matchup on Sunday.

EDGE Analysis
For the first time since April 22, Odorizzi gave up runs, snapping a streak of 22 straight scoreless innings. All three runs came via the long ball against Odorizzi, as it was the first time this year he allowed more than one bomb in a game. Although snapping the streak was disappointing, Odorizzi still improved to 6-2, and he owns a 2.63 ERA, 1.06 WHIP and 46 strikeouts in 48 innings this year. Odorizzi (0-2) gave up three runs on one hit with four walks while striking out three through 4.2 innings in a loss to the Mets on Wednesday.
EDGE Analysis
It was an unusual final line for Odorizzi as he surrendered three earned runs while only giving up one hit. The 29-year-old was cruising through four innings until three walks prompted his removal, and the Minnesota bullpen allowed all three of the inherited runners to score. After a terrific 11 K performance in his first start, the next two outings have been disappointing to say the least. Through three starts, he has a 0-2 record and 6.35 ERA with 15 strikeouts. Odorizzi will get his next start Monday against the Blue Jays.
