DeGrom was named NL Rookie of the Month for July.

The Mets have set an innings cap for Jacob deGrom this season at around 185. That means he has roughly 59 2/3 frames to go, or about 10 starts if he averages six innings per outing. deGrom is in line for 11 more starts if he pitches every five days, so he could either be skipped over once or shut down a bit early. It's not a major concern, and Mets general manager Sandy Alderson said Monday that the club isn't considering giving deGrom a break anytime soon. "So I think we have a couple of different ways of approaching that," Alderson said. "Now, I don't think we want to interrupt the flow that he has going, the success he's had."

Jacob deGrom earned his fourth straight win on Sunday, holding the Brewers scoreless over 6 1/3 innings of work. deGrom gave up four hits and walked two in the outing, striking out four. He's now 4-0 in his last four starts, allowing just two runs over 27 1/3 innings. The right-hander owns a 2.79 ERA, 1.26 WHIP and 83/31 K/BB ratio in 87 innings this year, and he should be owned in all mixed leagues at this point. deGrom takes on the Giants on Saturday in search of his fifth straight victory.

Jacob deGrom threw seven innings of one-run ball against the Mariners to pick up his fourth win on Tuesday. Jacob deGrom tossed a third straight gem on Tuesday, striking out seven and walking just one over seven frames. It's the sixth straight start in which deGrom has not allowed more than three runs. In the process, he's dropped his ERA to 3.01. This is also the third straight start in which deGrom's gone seven innings. If he can keep lasting deep into games, he'll continue to provide nice strikeout and ERA boosts. He'll square off with the Brewers next time out.

Jacob deGrom fired seven innings of one-run ball Sunday in the Mets' 9-1 rout of the Marlins. DeGrom struck out eight batters and allowed only five Miami hits over his seven frames. It was yet another impressive showing from the 26-year-old left-hander, who will finish the first half with a 3.18 ERA and 72/28 K/BB ratio in 73 2/3 innings. He's still available in 77 percent of Yahoo fantasy leagues.

Jacob deGrom struck out 11 over seven scoreless innings in the Mets' 8-3 win over the Braves on Tuesday. deGrom has been mostly good in his rookie season, but the right-hander was on another level on Tuesday. He gave up seven hits, all singles, without walking a batter. He now owns a 3.38 ERA and has struck out 64 batters in 66 2/3 innings. He'll take on the Marlins on Sunday in his last start before the All-Star break.

Jacob deGrom fell to 1-5, allowing three runs over five innings in Wednesday's loss to the Braves. deGrom ran into some first-inning struggles, loading the bases with no outs on a single and two walks. He nearly escaped the frame without allowing a run, but Chris Johnson hit a bases-clearing double to left field with two outs. From there, the right-hander was effective, allowing only six hits and walking two overall while striking out eight, but Julio Teheran wasn't to be defeated. deGrom now has a 3.77 ERA, a 1.41 WHIP, and a 53/26 K/BB ratio. He'll face the Braves again next week, this time at home.

Jacob deGrom got a no-decision, allowing two runs over 6 2/3 innings as the Mets lost 3-2 to the Pirates in 11 innings on Friday. The Pirates were not able to muster much offense against deGrom, breaking through only in the fourth inning when Jordy Mercer hit a two-run, game-tying single to center. On the night, deGrom held the Pirates to five hits and three walks while striking out four. The right-hander now has a 3.62 ERA, a 1.39 WHIP, and a 45/24 K/BB ratio. deGrom will match up against the Braves on the road in his next start.

Jacob deGrom delivered seven innings of shutout ball Saturday in the Mets' 4-0 blanking of the Marlins. The 26-year-old right-hander limited the Marlins to five hits and three walks while striking out seven to earn his first win at the major league level. He will carry a 3.75 ERA and 1.42 WHIP into his next start on the road against the Pirates. Saturday's outing was promising, but deGrom is not a great fantasy bet going forward.

Jacob deGrom gave up six runs and 12 hits in 4 1/3 innings Monday against the Cardinals to drop to 0-4. DeGrom was very unlucky not to win a couple of his early starts, but now he's given up 13 runs in 15 innings over the last three, taking his ERA from 2.42 to 4.39. He'll keep his rotation spot for now, but one more bad start could cause the Mets to go look at alternatives. Unfortunately, neither Rafael Montero nor Noah Syndergaard is an option right now.
