DeGrom (3-5) took the loss Friday, surrendering seven runs (six earned) on nine hits over five innings while striking out three as the Mets were downed 8-6 by the Marlins.
EDGE Analysis
Miami snapped its 27-inning scoreless streak when Garrett Cooper ended a 10-pitch at-bat against deGrom in the third with a two-run single, and the right-hander never seemed to recover his confidence after failing to put Cooper away. He'll carry a 3.98 ERA and 67:14 K:BB through 52 innings into his next start Wednesday, at home against the Nats.

DeGrom (3-4) earned the win against the Marlins on Saturday by allowing only one run on five hits over seven innings. He fanned eight and walked one.
EDGE Analysis
DeGrom was in top form again Saturday as he pounded the zone with 78 strikes in 106 pitches, throwing first-pitch strikes to 20-of-27 batters. The Mets were finally able to provide some run support, though deGrom still pitched in an RBI single of his own. The 30-year-old has delivered seven frames in each of his last three outings while allowing only three runs on 11 hits with a 21:4 K:BB. DeGrom now has a 3.26 ERA and 1.11 WHIP, and lines up to face either the Nationals or Marlins late next week.

DeGrom (2-4) took the loss Monday, allowing two runs on four hits and a walk over seven innings while striking out seven as the Mets fell 4-0 to the Padres.
EDGE Analysis
The reigning NL Cy Young winner was in top form, firing 72 of 103 pitches for strikes and generating 19 swinging strikes, but rookie Chris Paddack was just that much better for San Diego. DeGrom now has his ERA down to 3.60, and he'll look to continue whittling away at it Sunday in a home start against the Marlins.

DeGrom allowed three hits and two walks while striking out six across seven scoreless innings Wednesday against the Reds. He did not factor into the decision.
EDGE Analysis
DeGrom returned to his dominant form, holding the Reds hitless into the fifth inning and not allowing an extra-base hit for the entirety of his start. He also generated 20 swinging strikes, continuing his elite ability to miss bats. Though his lack of run support was reminiscent of last season, it was encouraging to see him bounce back after allowing 14 earned runs across his last 13 innings spanning three starts. He'll look to keep things going in his next outing, which should come Monday at San Diego.

DeGrom (2-3) allowed five runs on five hits and three walks while striking out seven over four innings. He took the loss Friday night against the Brewers.
EDGE Analysis
To put it simply, deGrom just didn't have it in Friday's outing. To top things off, his night began with a three-hour rain delay, which certainly didn't help his cause. DeGrom really struggled to locate his pitches throughout the contest, resulting in an early 5-0 deficit. The reigning NL Cy Young winner surrendered all five of his runs in the fifth inning. Following a brief trip to the injured list due to an elbow issue, deGrom still doesn't quite look like himself.

DeGrom (elbow) will be activated off the 10-day injured list to start Friday against the Brewers.
EDGE Analysis
DeGrom underwent an MRI on Monday but a successful bullpen session Wednesday cleared the way for his return from the injured list. The 30-year-old will end up spending the 10-day minimum on the injured list despite the initial scare the injury provided. The right-hander has a 3.68 ERA, 1.27 WHIP and 36:7 K:BB over 22 innings through his first four starts.

DeGrom (elbow) threw another bullpen session Wednesday without issues and remains on track to start Friday against the Brewers, Anthony DiComo of MLB.com reports.
EDGE Analysis
DeGrom dealt with an elbow scare but has received consistently positive news for several days now. He's thrown without issue and was cleared of any serious issue by an MRI, so he should be set to return when first eligible.

DeGrom underwent an MRI on his sore elbow Monday that came back clean, Tim Britton of The Athletic reports.
EDGE Analysis
DeGrom had been expected to forgo an MRI but ended up getting one anyway. The test confirmed that he's in good shape, and reports earlier in the day suggested that he could return from the injured list when first eligible Friday against the Brewers, though the Mets have yet to officially confirm their plans.

DeGrom (elbow) threw a bullpen session Monday and remains on track to return from the injured list Friday against the Brewers, Anthony DiComo of MLB.com reports.
EDGE Analysis
The sky appeared to be falling last week when DeGrom was placed on the injured list with elbow troubles, but the reports have been consistently positive since then. He didn't need an MRI and has thrown on three straight days, so the odds of him appearing after a minimum 10-day stay appear to be good.

DeGrom (elbow) played catch Sunday, Tim Healey of Newsday reports.
EDGE Analysis
The reports surrounding deGrom continue to be generally positive following an elbow scare earlier in the week. He's been able to play catch two days in a row, and the plan remains for him to not get an MRI. If all goes well, he may miss just one start and return from the injured list next weekend.
