Flaherty (10-8) took the loss Saturday against the Brewers despite striking out 10 batters in six innings. He allowed three runs on five hits and two walks.
EDGE Analysis
Flaherty reached a double-digit strikeout total for the second start in a row and the fourth time this season, but it didn't end up being quite the dominant performance that his fantasy owners had gotten used to lately. The three earned runs he allowed represent his highest total since July 2. Mike Moustakas did the bulk of the damage with a two-run homer in the fourth inning, while Eric Thames added an RBI grounder in the sixth for the go-ahead run. Flaherty will look to bounce back at Wrigley Field on Thursday.

Flaherty (10-7) struck out 10 and tossed eight shutout innings while allowing five hits and a walk to earn a victory against the Pirates on Sunday.
EDGE Analysis
After throwing 112 pitches, he didn't quite have enough in the tank to throw the complete game, but Flaherty tossed eight sensational frames in the victory. He's been one of the hottest starting pitchers in the league lately, as he has thrown 18 straight scoreless innings and is 6-1 with a 0.50 ERA in his last eight outings. Overall, Flaherty, who will look to extend that hot streak at home against the Brewers on Saturday, owns a 2.99 ERA, 1.03 WHIP and 196 strikeouts in 168.1 innings this season.

Flaherty (9-7) picked up the win in Tuesday's 1-0 victory over the Giants, giving up only one hit and one walk over eight scoreless innings while striking out eight.
EDGE Analysis
The right-hander fired 113 pitches (84 strikes) and wasn't quite efficient enough to get a chance at his first career shutout, but otherwise Flaherty was flat out dominant. He'll take a 3.14 ERA and 186:48 K:BB through 160.1 innings into his next start Sunday in Pittsburgh.

Flaherty (8-7) allowed three runs (two earned) on five hits with one walk and seven strikeouts across six innings while taking a loss against the Brewers on Wednesday.
EDGE Analysis
The right-hander pitched well, but even with one of his runs unearned, he gave up two earned runs for the first time in more than a month. The loss also snapped his three-game winning streak and gave him his first defeat since July 7. Flaherty's numbers are still very strong, though, as he has a 3.31 ERA, 1.08 WHIP and 178 strikeouts in 152.1 innings this season. He will make his next start at home against the Giants on Monday.

Flaherty (8-6) earned the win Friday after holding the Rockies scoreless with nine strikeouts over six innings. He allowed three hits and one walk.
EDGE Analysis
The right-hander continued his dominance with yet another brilliant performance. Now on a four-game winning streak, Flaherty has allowed just five runs over his last nine starts (56.1 innings) with a 0.80 ERA and 70 strikeouts in that span. Better yet, the 23-year-old has only surrendered one run over his last 38 frames. On the season, Flaherty owns a 3.32 ERA, 1.09 WHIP and 171:46 K:BB. He'll look to keep rolling when he faces Milwaulkee on the road Wednesday.

Flaherty (7-6) received the win Sunday after allowing one run on three hits and three walks while striking out five over five innings against the Reds.
EDGE Analysis
Flaherty gave up his only run of the day in the first inning on a solo home run, but he was able to settle down and fire four scoreless frames before being lifted with a three-run lead. The 23-year-old right-hander has picked up three wins in his last four starts, and Sunday marked the first time since July 26 that he's given up a run.

Flaherty (6-6) got the win against the Royals on Tuesday, tossing seven shutout innings while yielding just three hits, striking out seven and walking one in the Cardinals' 2-0 victory.
EDGE Analysis
Flaherty had his struggles earlier in the season, but he's been lights-out of late, as he's now tossed 21 straight scoreless innings and posted a 26:4 K:BB over his last three starts. He's lowered his ERA to a solid 3.52 mark over that stretch, to go along with a 1.10 WHIP and a 157:42 K:BB over 135.1 innings. The right-hander will look to keep it rolling in his next start, which will see him take on the Reds in a Sunday road matchup.

Flaherty didn't factor into the decision in Wednesday's 2-1 loss to the Dodgers, giving up four hits and a walk over seven scoreless innings while striking out 10.
EDGE Analysis
The right-hander was brilliant, tying his season high in strikeouts while extending his scoreless streak to 16 innings, and Flaherty exited the game in line for his sixth win of the year before Carlos Martinez ruined the combined shutout bid in the ninth inning. Flaherty will carry a 3.72 ERA and 150:40 K:BB through 128.1 innings into his next outing Aug. 14 in Kansas City.

Flaherty (5-6) tossed seven scoreless innings Thursday to earn the win over the Cubs, allowing just one hit and two walks with nine strikeouts.
EDGE Analysis
Flaherty displayed dazzling stuff in this one, throwing 66 percent of his pitches for strikes as he reached nine punchouts for the second straight outing. He retired 13 of the first 14 hitters he faced and supported his strikeout totals with six groundball outs as well. Flaherty has been superb over his last five starts, allowing just four earned runs while posting a 39:9 K:BB across 31.1 innings. He'll take a quickly improving 3.93 ERA into next week's road start against the Dodgers.

Flaherty didn't factor into the decision in Friday's 5-3 win over the Astros, allowing two runs on three hits and a walk over six innings while striking out nine.
EDGE Analysis
That's now three quality starts in his last four trips to the mound for Flaherty, and the right-hander has a sharp 2.48 ERA, 1.10 WHIP and 37:11 K:BB through 29 innings in July. Despite his recent success, though, victories remain elusive -- he's 0-3 over his last 12 starts, with his last win coming May 14. Flaherty will try to get back into the win column in his next outing Thursday, at home against the Cubs.
