Nova (2-3) allowed one run on five hits with three strikeouts and three walks across six innings to earn a victory against the Blue Jays on Saturday.
EDGE Analysis
It's been rare for Nova to walked three batters in one game during the last few years, but this was his second straight win and his second consecutive appearance allowing just one run. Nova needs several more of these to get his numbers back to normal, though, as his ERA sits at 6.29. He is also 2-3 with a 1.65 WHIP, .330 batting average against and 31 strikeouts in 44.1 innings this season. Nova will pitch next at home against the Blue Jays again.

Nova (1-3) picked up the win against the Indians on Monday, scattering eight hits and one earned run over seven innings, striking out five and walking one as the White Sox cruised to a 9-1 victory.
EDGE Analysis
Nova sported a brutal 8.33 ERA coming into the contest, but he had an excellent start against Cleveland, snapping a stretch of three straight starts in which he had given up at least five earned runs. His ERA still stands at 7.04 through 38.1 innings, but he'll look to build on this solid effort in his next outing, which will see him take on the Blue Jays on the road on Friday.

Nova allowed five runs on nine hits and two walks while striking out five over 5.2 innings in a 7-6 win over the Orioles in Game 2 of Wednesday's doubleheader.
EDGE Analysis
Nova surrendered a pair of home runs and has permitted six over the last two games. He was marginally better Wednesday than during his last start when he allowed nine runs over four innings. The right-hander has allowed at least five runs in four of his six starts, and Nova's 8.33 ERA is last among all qualified starters. Next up for Nova is a road meeting Tuesday against the Indians.

Nova won't make his scheduled start Tuesday against Orioles as the game has been postponed due to inclement weather.
EDGE Analysis
The White Sox are scheduled to play a doubleheader Wednesday, weather permitting, so it looks as though Nova's start will simply be pushed back a day.

Nova (0-3) took the loss against the Orioles on Tuesday by allowed nine runs on 11 hits over four innings. He struck out four and walked three.
EDGE Analysis
Nova gave up one run through the first two frames but fell apart during the third and fourth innings. The 32-year-old has now yielded 15 runs on 22 hits in his last two starts, which came against the non-powerhouse offenses of Detroit and Baltimore. Nova lines up to start next versus the Tigers on Sunday.

Nova allowed six runs on 11 hits with three strikeouts and no walks across 6.1 innings during a no-decision against the Tigers on Thursday.
EDGE Analysis
In one way, this was a typical Nova start, as he threw 60 strikes on 88 pitches and didn't walk a batter, but he was also hit hard. The 11 hits he allowed was a season high. Nova has been hot and cold this season, as he's either allowed one run or more than five runs in each of his four outings. Unfortunately, it doesn't average out to very good numbers, as he is 0-2 with a 6.23 ERA, 1.43 WHIP and 14 strikeouts in 21.2 innings. His next start is expected to be on the road against the Orioles on Tuesday.

Nova (0-2) took the loss Saturday, allowing one run on four hits and one walk while striking out five over six innings against the Yankees.
EDGE Analysis
Nova posted six scoreless innings, then was removed after allowing a Gleyber Torres single to open the seventh. The 32-year-old has compiled a 5.28 ERA and 1.30 WHIP along with a 11:3 K:BB and is scheduled to face Detroit on Thursday.

Nova (0-1) allowed seven runs on seven hits and one walk while striking out two over 2.1 innings in Sunday's 12-5 loss to the Mariners.
EDGE Analysis
The Mariners worked Nova over good, fouling off balls and getting deep into counts. The right-hander needed 72 pitches to get his seven outs. It was a big come down for Nova, who was marvelous in his first start. He's next expected to pitch Saturday on the road against the Yankees.

Nova allowed one run on six hits with four strikeouts and a walk across seven innings in a no-decision against the Indians on Monday.
EDGE Analysis
While his starting pitcher counterpart, Mike Clevinger, dazzled us with only one hit allowed and 12 strikeouts in seven scoreless innings, Nova more than held his own. Nova won't strikeout a lot of batters, but he also walks very few, and that helps in the WHIP and ERA categories. Keep in mind, though, that over the last couple seasons, Nova has dominated in April and then struggled in May and other parts of the year. He is 5-3 with a 2.33 ERA in his final 12 April outings.
