Nova (4-7) took the loss Saturday as the White Sox were downed 10-3 by the Twins. He struck out six and allowed four runs on seven hits and a walk over six innings.
EDGE Analysis
The right-hander was taken deep twice, including a two-run shot by Nelson Cruz in the first inning -- a blast that set the tone for the afternoon, as every Chicago pitchers who took the mound served up at least one homer. Nova will carry a 5.92 ERA and 62:25 K:BB over 94.1 innings into his next start Thursday, at home against the Tigers.

Nova (3-6) allowed five runs (three earned) on eight hits and a walk in six innings Sunday, striking out six and taking the loss against Texas.
EDGE Analysis
Most of the damage against Nova came during a four-run second inning where he allowed a pair of homers to Tim Federowicz and Danny Santana. Oddly enough his season ERA actually dropped from 6.01 to 5.91. On top of that, his 58:24 K:BB doesn't inspire much confidence either. Nova will face a lethal Twins lineup at home on Saturday.

Nova allowed one earned run on four hits and two walks while striking out one across five innings Tuesday against the Cubs. He did not factor into the decision.
EDGE Analysis
Nova's lone earned run came on a solo home run by Kyle Schwarber, the first batter he faced in the game. From there, he held the Cubs without an extra-base hit despite generating just three swinging strikes. Even after the strong performance, Nova has a 6.01 ERA and 1.58 WHIP across 82.1 innings for the campaign. He'll draw his next start in a tough environment on Sunday, traveling to Texas to take on the Rangers.

Nova took a no-decision in Thursday's win over the Yankees, allowing four runs on six hits and two walks while striking out five through 5.2 innings.
EDGE Analysis
The 32-year-old held his former Yankees team to one run over six innings earlier this season, but he couldn't make it happen this time. Nova handed the Yankees a 2-0 lead in the second inning thanks to a wild pitch and an RBI single Clint Frazier. Then in the fourth, he gave up a two-run homer to Brett Gardner. Luckily, the White Sox worked their way out of the 4-0 deficit, but Nova left the game with the score still tied, 4-4. It's been a rough June for the right-hander, who's coughed up 11 runs in 18 innings. He'll carry a 6.28 ERA, 1.60 WHIP and 51:21 K:BB into a Tuesday matchup against the Cubs.

Nova took a no decision Friday against the Royals after allowing four runs on six hits and a walk while striking out six through 5.1 innings of work.
EDGE Analysis
The 32-year-old had only give up one run against Kansas City in May, but Friday was a different story. Nova started off strong, retiring his first six batters until Nicky Lopez broke it up with a leadoff double in the third. Overall, Nova looked solid through five innings and carried a 2-1 lead into the sixth, when he allowed three consecutive hits including a double by Adalberto Mondesi to tie the game, 2-2. He then struck out Jorge Soler but walked Ryan O'Hearn, who would be his final batter of the night. The right-hander will carry a 6.28 ERA, 1.62 WHIP and 46:19 K:BB into a Thursday showdown with the Yankees.

Nova took a groundball off his left forearm during the fifth inning Saturday but remained in the game, Brian Sandalow of the Chicago Sun-Times reports.
EDGE Analysis
Trainers visited Nova following the incident, and he was deemed fine to continue. It may have been a different story had the grounder hit him on his pitching arm. Nova said the forearm was sore following the game.

Nova (3-5) allowed four runs (three earned) on six hits and one walk while striking out three over seven innings in a 5-2 loss to the Indians on Saturday.
EDGE Analysis
Nova permitted just a fourth-inning unearned run in the first five frames but surrendered a solo homer to Carlos Santana in the sixth and a two-run homer to Leonys Martin in the seventh. The 32-year-old has been better in his last three starts, allowing seven earned runs over 19 innings, but has still struck out only eight over that span. The right-hander holds an ugly 6.24 ERA, 1.64 WHIP and a 40:18 K:BB in 66.1 innings. Next up for Nova is a road meeting Saturday against the Royals.

Nova allowed one run on six hits while striking out two over five innings in Monday's game against Kansas City that was suspended after five innings with the score tied 1-1.
EDGE Analysis
Nova will get a no-decision when the game is completed Tuesday afternoon at 4:10 pm. Aside from a poor performance against the Jays on May 17, Nova has been good of late. Three of his previous four starts have been quality ones, and Monday's was headed in that direction. He'll get his second start of the week Saturday at home against the Indians.

Nova (3-4) gave up three runs on 10 hits and one walk while striking out three through seven innings, taking the win over the Astros on Wednesday.
EDGE Analysis
It wasn't a dominant outing, but it was enough to post Nova's third quality start in his last four outings. This was a much needed bounce-back performance after getting crushed for eight runs in his last appearance. Nova has a 3-4 record with a 6.96 ERA and a 35:17 K:BB through 10 starts this season. Nova will make his next start Monday against the Royals.

Nova (2-4) took the loss Friday, getting slammed for nine runs (eight earned) on eight hits and four walks over three-plus innings while striking out one as the White Sox were routed 10-2 by the Blue Jays.
EDGE Analysis
Three of Toronto's eight hits off Nova left the yard, including a two-run shot by Vlad Guerrero Jr. in the fourth inning that helped finally chase him from the game. The right-hander has coughed up at least five runs in five of nine starts this season, and nine runs twice in his last five, and both his command and control have deserted him -- he's walked 13 batters and served up 10 homers in 25.2 innings over that five-start stretch. Nova may not turn things around any time soon either, as his next outing is scheduled for Wednesday in Houston.
