Ivan Nova allowed three runs in 7 1/3 innings in a win over the Angels on Wednesday. Nova was fortunate to escape with just three runs allowed, as he gave up 10 hits on the night. Fortunately for him, his teammates gave him more than enough run support to earn his sixth win. The right-hander will face the Blue Jays on Tuesday.

Ivan Nova pitched extremely well in Friday's no-decision against the Tigers, allowing one run on eight hits over seven strong innings of work. Nova racked up seven strikeouts on the night while walking a pair. The only blemish on his evening was an RBI single by Miguel Cabrera in the seventh inning. He left in line to earn his sixth victory of the season, before the Tigers staged a dramatic comeback off Mariano Rivera in the ninth inning. He's been outstanding since rejoining the rotation in July, posting a 1.60 ERA, 1.00 WHIP and 44/12 K/BB ratio over 45 innings spanning six starts. He'll look to continue that dominance when he takes on the Angels at home on Wednesday.

Ivan Nova struck out eight in seven scoreless innings Saturday in the Yankees' 3-0 win over the Padres. Nova has simplified his arsenal, and it's worked wonders for him so far. Throwing nothing except fastballs and curveballs, he got through seven innings in 85 pitches tonight. This makes seven straight starts in which he's allowed no more than three runs since he returned to the majors.

Ivan Nova took a tough-luck loss Saturday after allowing one run over seven innings against the Rays. Nova was solid once again, allowing just six hits (five of them singles) and three walks while striking out eight batters. The only run scored on an RBI single by Kelly Johnson in the sixth inning. Nova now has a 2.49 ERA and 40/12 K/BB ratio over 43 1/3 innings since returning to majors and appears to be making the next step as a pitcher. He should be owned in most mixed fantasy leagues at this point.

Ivan Nova took a loss after allowing three runs in seven innings Monday against the Rangers. Since Nova rejoined the rotation, he's gone six straight outings without ever allowing more than three runs. His peripherals weren't as good tonight; he finished with four strikeouts and three walks, plus he allowed a homer. He has another tough matchup upcoming against the Rays.

Ivan Nova tossed eight innings of one-run ball in Wednesday's 8-1 victory over the Royals. Nova registered five punchouts while giving up just five hits and two free passes. The right-hander boasts a 2.45 ERA and 28/6 K/BB ratio over 29 1/3 innings since being recalled last month. He seems likely to keep a spot in the rotation after David Phelps returns.

Ivan Nova will start Wednesday against the Royals. Nova had 11 strikeouts in a complete game win over the Orioles on Friday and will continue to start with David Phelps on the disabled list. He has a 3.10 ERA since returning from the minors last month and could remain in the starting rotation even when Phelps returns.

Ivan Nova allowed two runs and struck out a season-high 11 batters Friday in a complete game victory over the Orioles. It was his first career complete game. Nova was excellent, allowing just three hits while walking just one batter. He fell just one strikeout short of matching his career-high. It looked like a two-run homer by Matt Wieters would be enough to cost him the victory, but the Yankees rallied in the bottom of the ninth to put him on the winning side. Nova now has a 3.10 ERA in three starts since returning from the minors last last month. He'll try to keep the momentum going when he faces the Royals in another home start next Wednesday.

Ivan Nova will start on Friday against the Orioles in place of the injured Hiroki Kuroda (hip). Kuroda is expected to avoid the DL, so it will just be a spot start. Nova has given up just six runs over his last 18 1/3 innings for the Yanks, which includes one start. He holds a 4.63 ERA and 1.60 WHIP overall this season.

Ivan Nova is no longer expected to start during the Yankees upcoming four-game series with the Twins. Nova was forced to make a relief appearance after David Phelps allowed nine runs over three innings Saturday. His role remains up in the air, but the Yankees haven't ruled out him making another start. "I'll just keep guys on rotation right now," manager Joe Girardi said. "We'll see, maybe slot him in somewhere else."
