Nova exited Tuesday's game in the seventh inning with an apparent injury, Bill Brink of the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette reports.
EDGE Analysis
Nova was mostly effective through the first six innings of the game before allowing back-to-back home runs in the bottom of the seventh. Following the second homer, Nova met with the team's trainer and was lifted from the game. It's unclear as to what injury he may have sustained, but that information should become available shortly.

Nova (5-4) pitched seven innings, allowing three runs on six hits with one walk and three strikeouts in Tuesday's loss to the Diamondbacks.
EDGE Analysis
Nova deserved a little better fate after pitching at least seven innings in his third straight start, but his counterpart, Robbie Ray, was too much for the Pirate offense. Nova matched zeroes with Ray through the first five innings before allowing an RBI double to Chris Owings in the sixth. An infield single and a groundout plated two runs in the seventh, more than enough support for Ray. Despite the loss, Nova has been excellent in his first full season with Pittsburgh. He leads the National League in innings (77) and is fifth in ERA (2.92). Nova will get a longer than normal break before his next start. He is scheduled to face Kevin Gausman and the Orioles in interleague play on Tuesday.

Nova (5-3) allowed four runs on 10 hits and a walk while striking out a single batter over 8.1 innings during Thursday's win over Atlanta.
EDGE Analysis
The Braves left seven batters on base, so Nova was pretty lucky to escape with just four runs allowed considering he surrendered 10 hits. Fanning only a single hitter wasn't overly helpful, either. Nova now sports a 2.83 ERA, 1.09 WHIP and 4.8 K/9 for the year, and while the lack of punchouts cap his fantasy ceiling, the righty is providing excellent ratios and piling up wins. A tough matchup against the Diamondbacks is up next for Nova.

Nova (4-3) allowed three runs on nine hits while striking out three over 7.1 innings to earn the win Saturday against the Phillies.
EDGE Analysis
Nova held the Phillies to a single run through the first six innings before running into a little trouble in the seventh and eighth frames, but the offense gave him plenty of support as he notched his fourth victory of the season. He's fired quality starts in all but one outing this year, and with a 2.63 ERA, he continues to be an excellent fantasy option. He'll make his next start Thursday against the Braves.

Nova allowed three runs on nine hits and one walk across six innings in a no decision Sunday against the Diamondbacks. He struck out four.
EDGE Analysis
While Nova allowed a hefty amount of baserunners in this one, he did well to work around trouble and actually was only scored upon via a pair of home runs by Paul Goldschmidt. He has been a revelation this season, posting a shiny 2.48 ERA and a 1.03 WHIP, but perhaps his best indicator of success has been his 33:4 K:BB. Nova hasn't recorded a win in his last three outings, but he has pitched quite well and will look to keep it up Saturday against the Phillies.

Nova (3-3) allowed two runs on seven hits and two walks while striking out two over 6.1 innings but came away with a no-decision in Tuesday's extra-inning loss to the Dodgers.
EDGE Analysis
He was in line for the win, but Tony Watson blew his first save of the season to send the game into extras. Nova rebounded nicely from a bad outing in Cincinnati, but he'll get another tough assignment in his next start Sunday on the road against the Diamondbacks.

Nova (3-3) allowed four runs on 10 hits while striking out five batters over six innings during Thursday's loss to Cincinnati.
EDGE Analysis
Nova has never allowed more than four runs in an outing through 17 starts as a Pirate, so while he wasn't his sharpest Thursday, it's been a solid run in the National League for the righty. It's also encouraging that he's struck out 20 batters through 22 innings over his past three games. Nova takes an impressive 2.14 ERA and 0.88 WHIP into his next start against Los Angeles at Dodgers Stadium.

Nova (3-2) allowed just three hits and struck out seven batters over nine scoreless innings against the Marlins.
EDGE Analysis
Since joining the Pirates last season, Nova has five complete games and just five walks. He's currently sporting a 1.50 ERA, 0.75 WHIP, 2.66 FIP and 5.5 K/9. It would be great to see him fan a few more batters, but Nova has thrived in the National League, and he's also 5-3 with a 2.28 ERA at pitcher-friendly PNC Park. A road date with the Reds is up next for Nova.

Nova (2-2) allowed a single run on just four hits and a walk while striking out seven batters over seven innings during Sunday's win over the Yankees.
EDGE Analysis
After striking out just eight batters over 20 innings through his first three starts, Nova's seven punchouts standout Sunday. Perhaps, he was particularly motivated to face his former club, but showcasing that upside warrants attention because he's pitched well since joining the Pirates. Nova sports a 2.00 ERA and 0.95 WHIP that's supported by a solid 2.96 FIP this year, and he'll look to continue his strong start to the season against Miami next weekend.

Nova, who suffered a 2-0 loss against St. Louis on Monday, tossed his fourth complete game in 14 career starts with Pittsburgh.
EDGE Analysis
He's compiled more complete games than walks (three in 84.2 innings) since coming to the Pirates at the trade deadline in 2016. Nova will face his old team, the Yankees, over the weekend at PNC Park, where the righty has registered a 2.41 ERA, 0.98 WHIP and 33:2 K:BB in 52.1 career innings.
