Anderson was promoted to Double-A Mississippi on Wednesday.
EDGE Analysis
He had a 1.61 ERA and 63 strikeouts in 56 innings over his last 10 starts at High-A Florida, so the promotion was well earned. At 20 years old, Anderson will be the youngest pitcher in the Southern League. He will make his Double-A debut on Sunday.

Anderson covered 7.2 hitless innings and issued one walk while striking out five Wednesday in his start for High-A Florida.
EDGE Analysis
After reaching 100 pitches midway through the eighth inning, Anderson wasn't given a chance to complete the no-hit bid, which was lost in the 11th inning. Anderson nonetheless worked deeper into the contest than in any of his previous 48 career starts as a professional, all while facing only two more hitters than the minimum. The 20-year-old right-hander has allowed two runs or less in 15 of his 19 starts with Florida this season, netting him a 2.57 ERA across 94.2 innings.

Anderson (2-5) picked up the win in impressive fashion for High-A Florida in Monday's 3-2 victory over Jupiter, scattering three hits and a walk over six scoreless innings while striking out 11.
EDGE Analysis
The 11 whiffs tied his career high to date in the minors, continuing a run of dominance for the Braves' No. 7 fantasy prospect that extends back to the beginning of May. Anderson now has a 2.25 ERA and 69:22 K:BB over his last 11 starts and 56 innings while giving up only one home run, and while Atlanta has no reason to rush the 20-year-old up the ladder, he could force his way into a late-season promotion to Double-A if he keeps bossing around Florida State League hitters.

Anderson didn't factor into the decision for High-A Florida in Sunday's loss to Tampa, tossing seven scoreless innings and scattering two hits and a walk while striking out seven.
EDGE Analysis
The right-hander's 3.81 ERA through six starts suggests he's had a bit of trouble adjusting to the Florida State League, but Anderson's 31:12 K:BB in 26 innings has been outstanding and he's put together a 12-innings scoreless streak over his last two outings. The Braves' No. 11 fantasy prospect can get lost in the shuffle in a deep system, but he still profiles as a future workhorse in the majors given his athleticism and strong three-pitch arsenal.

Anderson will begin the season with High-A Florida, Jonathan Mayo of MLB.com reports.
EDGE Analysis
The Braves' No. 7 fantasy prospect is still only 19 years old, and while Anderson's control remains a work in progress, his 101 strikeouts and zero home runs allowed in 83 innings at Low-A Rome last year were extremely impressive. The right-hander remains on track for a potential 2020 big-league debut.

Anderson, 19, has a 3.29 ERA and 99:42 K:BB in 79.1 innings for Low-A Rome.
EDGE Analysis
Anderson has not pitched more than four innings in an outing since the middle of June, but that has not taken away from his effectiveness. The 6-foot-3 righty has yet to allow a home run this season, and opposing batters are hitting just .234 against him. Anderson's control could use a little work, but overall the Braves will be pleased with his development as a teenager in A-ball.

Anderson, 19, has a 3.72 ERA and 83:34 K:BB through 65.1 innings for Low-A Rome.
EDGE Analysis
Anderson has been terrific of late, allowing just one earned run in his last three outings. He is still struggling with his control, though, as he has issued eight walks over that span. However, Anderson's age and massive strikeout potential means he will be a highly coveted hurler among the prospect ranks, even if he won't see the big leagues for a few years.

Anderson struck out 11 batters over six scoreless innings Thursday, allowing just one hit and one walk, in Low-A Rome's win over Augusta.
EDGE Analysis
The 19-year-old had hit a bit of a rough patch recently, giving up 13 runs in 16.1 innings over his previous four starts, but Anderson returned to dominant form in this one. The Braves' No. 5 prospect now has a 13.0 K/9 and has yet to allow a home run this year in his first exposure to full-season ball, and while his control remains a work in progress (4.8 BB/9) he has as much upside as any arm in Atlanta's stacked system.

Anderson, 19, has a 3.21 ERA, 1.36 WHIP and 37:17 K:BB in 28 innings with Low-A Rome.
EDGE Analysis
He has touched 97 mph in starts, and has showcased perhaps more upside in the early going than many expected when the Braves took him at No. 3 overall with an under-slot deal last June. Anderson has issued seven walks in his last 9.1 innings (two starts), so his control obviously needs some work, but his clear ability to miss bats at an elite clip has upped his stock in dynasty leagues.

Anderson notched eight strikeouts over 4.2 innings in his debut for Low-A Rome. He gave up one run on two hits and three walks against West Virginia.
EDGE Analysis
This was Anderson's first start above rookie ball and he handled himself quite well. Obviously he walked too many batters, but the swing-and-miss potential was on full display. Anderson was tabbed as a safety-over-upside pick when the Braves saved some money by taking him with the third overall pick last year, but his 6-foot-3, 170-pound frame also allows one to dream a little on his stuff taking a jump up. There may be more long-term upside here than most originally expected.
