Ryu (shoulder) made 90 throws between long toss and a bullpen session Sunday, and is expected to toss another bullpen session Tuesday, David Vassegh of 570 AM reports. Ryu continues to work his way back from shoulder inflammation, but it's still a work in progress. The Dodgers have a revolving door filling his spot in the rotation, with Scott Baker receiving the start Sunday. When he does return, a his place in the rotation should be waiting for him.

Ryu (shoulder) threw 20 pitches from a mound Sunday, Dylan Hernandez of the Los Angeles Times reports. Ryu was limited to just fastballs, but one would expect he'd add breaking pitches to the mix within the next session or two. With no setbacks having been reported yet, the left-hander remains on track for a mid-to-late May return.

Ryu (shoulder) will be throwing a bullpen session in the next couple days, the Los Angeles Times' Dylan Hernandez reports. He could begin throwing bullpen sessions as soon as Sunday, which would be a huge step in his recovery. After throwing several sessions the Dodgers may be able to begin to map out a plan to send him on a rehab assignment. A late-May/early-June return seems like the best estimate at this point. Scott Baker will be starting Sunday in Ryu's rotation spot with the Dodgers.

Ryu (shoulder) is playing catch, but he's yet to throw from a mound, the LA Times reports. There is still no timetable for Ryu's return. We have May 15 as the projected date, but at this point, June may be more realistic, but that's just speculation.

Ryu (shoulder) is playing catch for a third consecutive day Wednesday, this time extending to 90 feet, MLB.com's Ken Gurnick reports. This is a good sign as Ryu is progressing with his recovery, but considering he is just playing catch still, he remains about a month away from returning to the rotation. Carlos Frias was called up from Triple-A on Wednesday and is the most likely candidate to start Apr. 24, the next time the Dodgers need a fifth starter with Ryu out.

Ryu (shoulder) played catch Tuesday, but has not thrown from 90 feet yet and there is no firm timetable for his return, Fox Sports' Jon Morosi reports. It's starting to look like a return sometime in May would be a best-case scenario for Ryu. David Huff was called up to start Tuesday's game, and he could theoretically hold that rotation spot until Ryu is ready to return. Scott Baker and Joe Wieland, who had nine strikeouts in his first start of the season for Triple-A Oklahoma City, are some other internal options to start while Ryu is out.

Ryu (shoulder), who played catch for the first time Tuesday, isn't expected back now until early May, MLB.com's Ken Gurnick reports. With a handful of off-days in April, the Dodgers will likely go with Scott Baker and/or Joe Wieland until May, when a regular fifth starter is needed.

Ryu (shoulder) has resumed playing catch, MLB.com's Ken Gurnick reports. Ryu was shut down Mar. 20 after feeling discomfort in his shoulder, but he was cleared to resume throwing Tuesday. While he is making progress, he still has a way to go in his recovery and will likely need several rehab outings before he is ready to start a game for the Dodgers.
